Favorite Compared To The Rest - Tokiya Ichinose x Reader

I sit at the table with my phone in front of me. I smile at it proud of myself for getting a Perfect Combo. Before I exit the app I make sure to talk to my chosen idol one last time. I smile happily at him then close the app. I stretch my arms out and go off to charge my phone. In this process I am greeted by Tokiya who just came back from his idol work for the day.

"How was work Tokiya?" I ask him as I give him a hug once my phone got plugged in. He replies back with a simple "fine" as he returns my hug. When we pull away from each other and hold each other by our elbows we share a smile between us. Tokiya then takes a glance over to my phone.

"Did it die again?" He asks normally and I give him a firm nod.

"Were you playing those games again?" He asks in the same way he always does when he asks this question. I never can place the feeling he has when he asks me this.

"W-Well, yes. But is there a problem with it?" I say to Tokiya. He drops my arms making me do the same and he looks down.

"I guess it's not. I'm not here most of the day for you either, so you have to keep yourself busy somehow," Tokiya replies back looking at me normally yet again. I tilt my head slightly but then speak up.

"Oh! I'll make dinner for us! You must be tired so go and rest," I say to him as I give him a quick kiss on the cheek. Then I head off towards the kitchen.

With me cleaning up the table after we enjoyed our meal and with Tokiya's help, we were able to have some time to ourselves. We sit in front of the TV and I go ahead and switch it to an idol program. This week they have an idol group on the I'm familiar with making me glued to the screen. Of course I also tell Tokiya about them so he understands everything. It's only towards the end of the episode and when my laughter dies down, that I notice Tokiya's disinterest and tight hold on me.

I give him a tight hug in return as his grip loosens a bit, not expecting it. I giggle a little as I quickly pull away. I stand up as well and see that it's pretty late already and mention to Tokiya that we should probably go to bed.

"I'll be there soon, go on without me," Tokiya says to me and I stare at him.

"But, don't you need your energy for tomorrow? Your schedule seems pretty full again," I reply back as I stare at him. He replies back saying that it's fine and the he will join me soon. I give him a slight smile as I bid him goodnight and then go get ready for bed.

With my pajamas on and Tokiya still not here I take a glance at our room. Along side a wall is a bookcase with a shelf beside it. I go up to the bookcase and smile at my huge idol collection. The case is filled with all of my favorite idols CDs and merch. I have more but the rest are in boxes in my old apartment that I'm still cleaning out and moving here with Tokiya.

I look over to the small shelf right next to the huge bookcase. It is jam packed with Tokiya's books and there is even a small table under it with more books that couldn't fit on it. My smile and pride falls as I look back at the huge bookcase filled with just my things. When Tokiya met me he knew about my obsession with idols. Yet we still formed a friendship and started dating.

We just recently started living together after being together for three years. But he instantly gave up his bookcase for me saying that he'll take whatever space is left, which was none in the end. So he had to settle for a small shelf and a small table under it, and had to put the the rest of his books away to storage. I drop my shoulders as I head towards our bed and get in on my side. I snuggle the blankets close to me as I face in.

Gently I close my eyes and try to forget about it. Somewhere in the middle of the night I feel something touch my forehead and hold me tight. I can't help but snuggle into its warmth.
