Everything was a blur. A blur of color, a blur of light, a blur of sounds, a blur of faces.
Kelly kept fading in and out of consciousness, everything was overwhelming and underwhelming all at once. Her mind was racing and she found it hard to focus. All she knew is that something bad had happened and she had been a part of it.

Kelly opened her eyes slowly, the harsh light of the lightly colored room flooding her vision. A soft beeping noise filled the air as her vision cleared and every thing came into focus.
Kelly looked down at herself, there was an IV in her arm, a heart monitor on her right pointer finger and she was covered in bandages. There was a heavy black brace on her left hand and wrist.
Her head was pounding and her entire body ached. Thoughts still fuzzy, she glanced around the room trying to make sense of everything. There were flowers on a table to her right, as well as multiple machines that appeared to be monitoring her condition.
Looking to her left she noticed a figure slumped over in a chair.
There Jack sat, fast asleep, a look of worry plastered on his face.
She wasn't sure how long either of them had been in the room but she could tell it was enough to make a sinking feeling in her stomach become more prominent.

"Jack." Kelly's voice came out in a hoarse whisper. She cleared her throat and tried again.

"Jack!" She called louder, her voice rough. Jack shot up right, looking frantically around the room.

"Kelly! Oh God, Kells you're awake!" He grabbed his chair and drug it to the right side of the bed. He quickly sat and grabbed her hand, kissing it. "God, I was so worried."

"What happened?"

"There was an accident....a car crashed into yours and luckily your both going to be okay-" Kelly didn't let him finish.

"Both? Where's Patience? Is she okay, can I see her?" Kelly asked frantically, the beep of the heart monitor gaining speed as she did so.

"She's fine Kells. A couple scrapes and bruises and a broken arm but she's gonna recover just fine." Jack said, giving Kelly's hand a light squeeze.

"Can I see her?" She asked again.

"I don't know, I'll let the doctor know you're awake and then we'll see." He smiled at her, relief in his eyes as he looked at her.

He let go of her hand and stood from his chair. He left the room to go find a nurse or doctor, leaving Kelly to her thoughts. She looked at the flowers once more, wondering who they were from and how long she had been in this hospital room.
Her thoughts were interrupted by two knocks on the door to her room.

"Jack you don't have to-" Her words were lost as the door opened and revealed that it was not Jack who was at her door.

"Is it okay if I come in?" Adam asked, he seemed too big for the room.

"Yeah, sure." Kelly said, a little shocked to see him. He closed the door behind him and slowly made his way over to her. Taking a seat in the chair Jack had sat in moments before.

"Did you like the flowers? I know lilacs are your favorite." Adam smiled shyly.

"Y-yes, they're beautiful." Kelly returned the smile, though it was a reserved one.

"Jack told me what happened, I was so worried, are you okay?" He asked grabbing her hand, surprising her.

"My head hurts and it feels like I was run over by a train but yeah I'd say I'm okay."

"Good. When I find out who is responsible for this, they're dead." He said suddenly, his eyes growing dark, his face serious.

"Don't talk like that, I'm sure it was an accident." Kelly frowned at him.
