Tay P. O. V.

"What do you mean you want to get back together?"

I looked at her appalled by her sudden change of heart. It was bad enough that I liked Leah but having another chance with Riley wasn't exactly the plan I had in mind to forget about the way I felt. Not to mention the fact I never asked for another chance but just apologized for being cruel to her.

"I thought about what you said and I want another chance with you. Granted we had our mistakes but what couple hasn't? I think if we just started fresh and forgive one another it'll be worth another try."

She looked at me with twinkling eyes and smiled at me. I didn't know what to do. Hurting her once was bad enough but doing it again by not taking her back was too painful for anyone to bare. I couldn't live with the guilt of having someone that I barely loved just to forget about my feelings for Leah. It would be the dumbest thing I would've done but if it meant getting over her than I could at least try. Who knows I'll probably end up loving Riley in the future.

I grinned and nodded. "Alright. I want you back too. I missed you baby and I swear I won't hurt you like I did."

Her face lit up like she had a brand new car and ran towards me hugging me tight. I wrapped my arms around her waist and smiled kissing her cheek.

"I love you Tay."

Oh shit. My body froze and tensed as I held her. No one has ever told me they love me besides my family. This is probably the worst situation I could be in right now. I can't lie to her but I can't lead her on.

"And I care so much about you baby."

Relief washed over me once the door opened and Jay walked in.

"Oops. I didn't know we had company. I'll leave."

"Wait. This is Riley. The girl I was talking about. Riley this is my brother Jay."

She pulled away and looked at my brother with widened eyes. I swear I thought I saw drool on the corner of her mouth.

"H-Hi Jay. I'm Riley."

Didn't I just say that?

"I heard. Nice to meet you. You and Tay together again?"

She hesitated a bit but nodded gladly. Now is it me or is she falling for my fucking brother? You have got to be kidding me. Right now, I was desperate to have his ass back at college so I don't have to worry about this again.

"We just got back together. When are you leaving again?"

"In a few days. I thought we can hang out today but I can see you're busy." He shrugged.

"No it's fine. We can."

"Cool. Riley you wanna come?"

Eagerly, she nodded her head still staring at him as if no one else was in the room but her and Jay. Quite frankly, I'm on the verge of breaking up with her again.

Through the whole afternoon, Jay, Riley, and I went to Navy Pier downtown for the fireworks. Riley couldn't stop gawking at my brother and laugh at every joke he made which was never funny. I held her hand which finally got some recognition when she looked at me and smiled placing a sweet kiss on my lips. As we walked to the Build-A-Bear shop, I heard a shriek from the stuffing section. Within a second, Jay was hugging on a girl and picked her up spinning her around as if they were long lost friends until I saw him kiss her. From that point, I knew she was the famous Alecia.

"Hey baby. What are you doing here?" Jay asked.

"I'm visiting my aunt and niece. They live down here so we came here to have fun of course and see the fireworks."
