Rosie
A week has gone by, the pang of hurt not once leaving my heart. I haven't seen Luke since, so maybe that will help me get over him. Well, one can hope. Since the school year is being brought to a close, our teachers have given us the annual end of year projects and of course, those dreaded finals. And right now since I have nothing better to do, because Lilly went on a date with Nate-finally, I have wasted about three hours of my Saturday studying for these wretched tests. Why can't we take these earlier in the year? By this time, no one even cares about grades anymore hence the fact that summer is so close.
It's nearing ten o'clock in the evening before I get a call. I look at my phone screen to see the call was from, Lilly. I immediately slide to answer, wanting to hear the details about her date.
"Hellooo. So how did it go?" I asked, hopefully.
"It was just- amazing. Like he is just soo amazing Rosie, you wouldn't believe it" She gushed.
"Well tell me what happened, the details!" I shrieked.
She giggled before answering. "Well we went rollerskating, of course and the whole time he was holding my hand since I pretended I couldn't skate for shit. Then after that, we went to the arcade and played a bunch of games and he won me a big Koala Bear!" I could tell she was smiling over the phone.
"Aww Lil, that's so cute" I cooed, rummaging through the fridge to find anything decent.
"But that wasn't the best part. When he dropped me off, he walked me to the door and kissed me!"
"Holy shit" I stated, dropping the box of waffles I had. I bent down to pick them up. "So, are you guys gonna go out again?"
"Well probably, I mean I hope. He asked for my number, so maybe" She hoped.
"Don't worry, it sounds like he really likes you" I assured her.
"Now enough about me. I know you haven't been with someone in a while, so let's fix that" She changed the subject. My eyes widened.
"No, you don't have to do that it's fine, really-" she cut me off.
"No, I want to! It's not fair if I gush about dating someone when you don't have someone to gush about either. Look, Nate has a friend, Harry, who is a Freshman in college" (A/N: Yes, Harry Styles. He's a normal guy, not in 1D)
"Nooo, I don't want you to set me up with some guy I don't know as a blind date" I whined.
"It's not gonna be some blind date I swear! I have an idea. Luke's band is playing in the park square, and I could invite Nate and Harry, and you could come with me. So the four of us would be just causally hanging out." As soon as I heard Luke I froze. Seeing him is going to ruin my plan of getting over him and moving on, I can't go.
"Ugh, I really don't want to Lilly I-"
"Come on, please! You need to meet someone, and what if Harry's 'the one'?" She protested.
"I'm seventeen, I doubt i'm going to meet 'the one' any time soon" I just laughed, still trying to get out of it. But the more that I think about it, what's the harm done? So yeah, I'll have to see Luke again but the difference is, I'll be with another guy. And I just might be able to use that to my advantage.
"You know what, I'll go. But he has to be hot" I finally agreed.
"Yes! And oh my god trust me, he is" Lilly cheered from the other side of the phone.
This is a test. He says the kiss meant nothing, but we'll see about that.
Ooooh do you guys like her plan? Yes, i know that was way too short but I wanted to give you all something so, voila! Please o Please, I would love it if you gave me feedback on my story, I have a lot planned!
