After Luke witnessed the display of affection Harry and Rosie had just shared between one another, Luke drove himself to the local pub and got wasted off of Jim Beam and his own swirling thoughts. He had never turned to drinking his own sorrows away in times of crisis, but this was a new road he had driven on.
After several rounds of drinks he couldn't even try and think clearly anymore, yet he managed to drive himself home from the pub. Although his drunken mind did not want to go home. He wanted to see her.
He had a thousand questions swirling in his head that he wanted to ask her, none he would've dared to ask when he was sober. In his state, Luke just needed to know. Although his subconscious constantly remind him how much of an idiot he was for still thinking he had a chance with her, since not even three hours prior, Luke saw her lip locking with some guy.
So when Luke rang Rosie's doorbell at approximately midnight, she was stunned to open the door and find an intoxicated Luke just standing there on her door step.
"Jesus Christ, Lucas. What the hell are you doing at my door at midnight? And are you drunk?" He questioned him, her features going softer when she realized his condition.
"Oh shit, you are" She stated, and Luke just simply nodded his head with his eyes squinting.
"I can't go home, mum will be pissed" Luke lowered his gaze as if he was ashamed at himself.
Rosie took a deep breath, looking down the street where Luke's house stands, only about four houses away. "Ok, come in" she ushered him in, closing the front door swiftly behind her.
Luke basically fell onto her leather couch situated in the living room. She was lucky that her parents were vacationing in Bermuda at this time.
"I'll be right back" she assured Luke, before rushing to the kitchen. She had not a clue to why Luke would go out and get drunk. She knew this behavior wasn't like him, yet she didn't want to ask him about it, his drunken mind might not able to get out an accurate answer.
Rosie then returned about three minutes later, holding two glasses of water. One for herself and the other, for Luke. "Here" She passed the cup over to him while he mumbled a faint thank you.
"So.. why did you decide to get trashed?" She asked, without thinking.
Luke sipped his water then looked up to meet her delicate brown yes that were waiting for an answer from him. "Umm I don't know, just felt like it" He slurred, and Rosie knew he was lying.
Rosie then tilted her head to the side. "Bullshit, Luke. I have known you for almost four years,and you rarely drink, yet get this wasted" She gestured her hands towards him. "Now tell me the truth or I will make you leave"
Luke gave in to her threat, even though he doubted that Rosie would actually kick him out of her house. "Do you not care about other people's feelings?" he asked, and when he did Rosie scrunched her face in confusion.
"What are you talking about? Of course I do" she explained to him.
"Not about mine" he sighed, looking away from her. Rosie then sat on the couch beside him.
"Yes I do. Luke, what is this about?" she asked in annoyance, wanting him to just tell her what his problem was already.
"It's about me" he started. "-and you"
She grabbed his face in both of her hands and pulled Luke's face so he could actually look at her. "God dammit, Luke. Just tell me what this is about" she huffed.
"Why the hell did you kiss him?" his voice slightly rose in anger.
Rosie then had a clue to what Luke could possibly be hinting at, her kiss with Harry. But the thing was, that Luke's has told her before that he wasn't interested in her, so why would he care?
"You saw that?" she widened her eyes just a tad.
"Yes, Rosie I fucking saw that" now it was his turned to be annoyed.
"So? What is the big deal?"
He just huffed. "You don't belong with him" he slurred, and Rosie could barely make out what he said at first.
"Oh really? Who do I belong with then?" she questioned, her eyebrows raised.
"Me" and before Rosie could protest, he crashed his lips to her own.
