Once we arrived at the Helicarrier, around 10pm, Loki was immediately escorted to the prison. Every time I thought of that place it made me go cold... Director Fury had made sure that the God was put in the most secure cell possible incase he tried to escape.

Natasha, Steve, Tony, Thor, Banner and I were all sitting at the conference table in the bridge, talking about ideas on how to get the Tesseract back as well as the Agents he had possessed. It was only when the screens in front of us on the tables turned on, showing the live camera footage of what was happening currently at Loki's cell, that we all shut up. There were 5 screens so Thor was just watching over Natasha's shoulder so he could see what was happening with his brother.

Loki was standing still in the centre of the cell, watching as Director Fury entered the room and walked over to a panel with loads of buttons on it then turned to face the God,
"In case it's unclear, you try to escape- you so much as scratch that glass- " Fury pressed a button on the panel to the left of him and the floor beneath the cell dropped away to nothing, causing the wind to scream,
"Thirty thousand feet straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works?" He then pushed another button that replaced the fallen floor to stop the screaming. Nick gestured to Loki, "Ant," then to the buttons once more, "Boot."

"It's an impressive cage. Not build, I think, for me." Loki stepped forward smiling, he chuckled humorously.
"Built for something a lot stronger than you." The Director talked calmly, not being effected in any way by the villain's words. Loki then turned to the camera, he had his hands behind his back and you could tell he used to live in a castle by his posture,
"Oh I've heard..."

I looked up from the screen for a second, Thor was looking at me with a concerned face: he knew Loki was talking about me. I tried to disagree by discreetly pointing a finger at Banner, hoping he didn't notice and luckily he didn't.
"Mjolnir." He mouthed the name of his hammer to me, reminding me of what happened earlier and how Thor had explained you had to be worthy to carry the hammer. I exhaled and looked back at the screen in front of me in an attempt to take my mind off of the conversation.

"...a mindless beast. Makes play she's still a woman...
How desperate are you, that you call on such lost creatures to defend you?" He was still facing the camera with a huge smirk, he found it all too funny. As Loki turned back to him, Fury walked closer to the cage and answered his question,
"How desperate am I? You threaten my world with war, you steal a force you can't hope to control, you talk about peace and you kill 'cause it's fun. You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did."

"Ooh. It burns you to have come so close, to have the Tesseract, to have power- unlimited power, and for what?" The God turned back to the camera once more and smiled mockingly, "A warm light for all mankind to share?" He returned to facing the front of the cage, his voice now sounded deeper and more evil, "And then to be reminded what real power is."
"Well, let me know if 'real power' wants a magazine or something." Nick Fury smiled at the prisoner before turning around and exiting the room.

"He really knows how to get on your nerves, doesn't he?" I put my elbows on the table and rested my head in my hands.
"Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, what's his play?" Steve ignored my previous comment and turned to the other blonde in the room,
"He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard nor any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the Earth, in return, I suspect, for the Tesseract." Thor explained, folding his arms over his chest.
"An army, from outer space?" Captain Rogers confirmed, not really buying the whole thing.
"So, he's building another portal. That's what he needs Eric Selvig for." Banner thought as he tapped a pen he was holding against the table.
"Selvig?" Thor asked, making sure he heard the scientist correctly.
"He's an astrophysicist." Bruce explained, now holding the pen still.
"He's a friend." The God replied.
