"Gentlemen." Fury simply greeted; Steve handed him ten dollars that he had bet earlier, "Doctor, thank you for coming." Banner shook his hand hesitantly before responding,
"Thanks for asking nicely. So, um, how long am I staying?" I could tell he was worried about being stuck inside for a long time by the look in his eyes.
"Once we get our hands on the Tesseract, you're in the wind."
"Well where are you with that?" Banner was referring to the search for Loki and more importantly: the cube.Agent Coulson answered that question instead,
"We're sweeping every wirelessly accessible camera on the planet. Cell phones..." Steve looked around confused by what's going on - being stuck in ice for 70 years really changes you - and Natasha moved over to her computer screen where you could see Barton's face trace in progress,
"...Laptops, if it's connected to a satellite, it's eyes and ears for us."
"It's still not gonna find them in time." I was being really negative but I couldn't help it when the entire world was in the balance, I just couldn't.
"You have to narrow your field. How many spectrometers do you have access to?" Bruce turned to the Director, taking his eyes away from the screen he had been peeking a look at.
"How many are there?"
"Call every lab you know. Tell them to put the Spectrometers on the roof and calibrate them for Gamma rays. I'll rough out a tracking algorithm, basic cluster recognition. At least we could rule out a few places. Do you have somewhere for me to work?" I didn't understand one word that came out of that scientists mouth, all I heard was a bunch of words that could win a world record for most confusing words ever!
"Agent Strange, would you show Doctor Banner to his laboratory, please?" Director Fury ordered and I nodded in obedience, starting to move towards the metal doors of the bridge."I know you're gonna enjoy it here. We have all the toys that you like to use!" Starting a conversation, I looked over at him waiting for his response that actually came quicker than I expected it would.
"Really? Do you have the com-meter sixty-four?" Bruce took his eyes off the floor and looked up at me hopefully.
"Um, I'm not exactly..." What was a com-meter sixty-four?
"Oh you're very young." He cut me off, which I was a bit happy about since I didn't even know what I would of said if he didn't.~~~~~
Me, Nick Fury, Phil Coulson and Steve Rogers were all standing in the bridge, the face trace was still going on and currently unsuccessful. I could see a few Agents I recognised on the computers ahead of me: Agents Howe, Sitwell and Ivy.
"I mean if it's not too much trouble..." Phil rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed that he even asked the question in the first place.
"No-no, it's fine." Captain Rogers sighed, but smiled and tried to be polite although he was a bit taken back that there were even trading cards of him.
"It's a vintage set. Took me a couple of years to collect them all. Near mint, slight foxing around the edges but-" The fangirling Agent was interrupted by Agent Jasper Sitwell's voice the other side of the bridge to us.Jasper was sitting in front of a computer that had Loki's face on it,
"We got a hit. Sixty seven percent match. Wait- cross-match, seventy nine percent."
"Location?" He came forward from where he had been standing and leaned over Sitwell's screen.
"Stuttgart, Germany. Twenty eight, Königstraße. He's not exactly hiding." The Agent's response confused me, if he wasn't hiding then why did it take so long to find him?
"Strange, Captain, you guys are up." I lifted my head up to look at him in shock that he had asked me to help with saving the planet.~~~~~
"Seriously, I look like a Victorian time traveller?" I complained, looking at my outfit in the mirror. My room was empty except for me and Agent Ivy, who was helping into my undercover outfit for the German party I had to attend.
"A pretty Victorian time traveller though!" She giggled in response, resting her hands on my shoulders, standing behind me as I continued to make fun of reflection.
