I was walking through a dark alley. It was extremely late at night, mom and Phil would be so angry!
I know I'm not supposed to walk alone late at night. It doesn't matter where I am, but since I'm in Phoenix? Yeah... That's a major no-no.
A figure stopped at the other end of the alley. I could feel my pulse start to quicken. Why was this person staring at me? He looked familiar, but I wasn't to sure.
I decided to turn around, but I was being followed by a woman. She was equally familiar, but from a distance it was hard to tell.
I decided to continue walking towards the man. If they both seemed familiar, then why the heck not?
My pulse started to calm down once I saw who it was. Bryan was smiling at me.
"Oh thank goodness! You two scared me at first," I admitted to the twins.
"Well... You should still be!" Martha called from behind. My blood turned ice cold at her comment.
"Wh-what?" I asked. But neither one of them answered. I felt something crack against my skull, and everything went dark.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I jolted awake, and I was breathing hard. I was also drenched in sweat.
I had this feeling I was being watched, and I couldn't shake it. That's when I decided to take a shower.
I stayed in there for over an hour, letting the water relax my tired muscles. Then I used my strawberry shampoo. That helped calm me a little bit.
When I was finished washing up, I turned the water off. I covered up in a towel, and quickly brushed my hair.
Who cares if it's soaking wet? I thought. Then I hurried to my room so I could change clothes. That's when I saw the time. It was only three in the morning! I groaned.
Yes! I was really exhausted. But I couldn't sleep now. Not after that dream I had anyways. So I fixed myself a bowl of cereal instead.
I are slowly, chewing each bite with care. When I had finished, I washed my bowl and spoon. I dried them, then set them aside for later.
Now what to do? I thought. I was trying to decide between cartoons and reading a book. I decided cartoons might calm me better.
Spongebob was on, and I was curious which episode it was. Just my luck! It was my favorite episode. Spongebob forgot how to tie his shoes, so Gary helps him with this cool song.
Soon I was singing along and feeling much better. I drifted off to sleep sometime after the song had ended.
"Bella?" mom awoke me with a start. "Why are you in the living room?"
"Oh, I had a bad dream. So I watched some cartoons to relax."
"Well, alright then. What are your plans for today?"
I told her the truth, "I don't know yet. I haven't thought about it much. I might go hang out with the twins or something."
"Ok, just let me know when you leave, and what time you'll be back!"
"Yes, mom." I quickly texted the twins, and they agreed. They wanted me to come over for shopping and dinner.
Honestly, I don't really care about shopping. I'm not much of a girly girl. I've always been more boyish and non sporty.
I hurried and changed. Then I put my wallet in this purse I rarely used, and waited for them to pick me up.
Soon I heard a car honk outside. "Bye mom! I should be home about eight, ok?"
"Don't forget it's a school night, Bella!" mom called to me.
I shut the door, and half ran to their car, getting into the backseat. I can't really run either. I usually trip and fall when I try.
"Hey Bella!" they called.
"Hey!" I replied smiling.
"Our mom wants to know if you want to come over for dinner tonight instead. We'll eat out for lunch. And if you haven't had breakfast yet, we can stop somewhere too." Bryan told me.
I agreed to eating at their place tonight, but passed on breakfast.
It was a long day of shopping, but I didn't really buy much. I did buy a cute top I could wear if I ever went back to Forks. The twins talked me into it, because they thought it fit me well.
Actually I think they're right! I also bought a new pair of converse since mine were getting torn up anyways.
They let me drop my stuff off at my house. I took that opportunity to let my mom know I'd be at their house for dinner.
When I got to their house, it was dark inside.
"Where's your mom?" I asked.
"Oh, she probably went to the store," Martha replied. She turned on a few lights, and Bryan told me to sit on the couch.
"I just remembered something!" I exclaimed. They looked at me curiously, so I told them about my strange dream last night. Also about not even recognizing them at first.
They laughed, but a small part sounded nervous. I didn't fully take notice, so I just ignored it.
"I'll be right back," Martha said. Bryan nodded as she got up.
Soon she was back, carrying a plate of cookies. I forgot, but mom made these for us. I figure we can eat while we wait for her.
I took a cookie, and took a bite. "Mmmm. These are good!" I replied. So I continued to eat it. I grabbed a second, not even caring that they weren't touching them.
Slowly I started to get tired. I figured it was because of the long day. Eventually I felt sluggish, and was unable to move my arms and legs.
Then Martha said something that really scared me. "We've been waiting a long time for this! Don't worry. You won't feel a thing. Bryan here wants a kid. And we want a slight dinner. Your smell... Your blood... It smells so good! Intoxicating really. Our own brand of heroin."
That was the last thing I remembered.
