It was finally Friday! I was so happy because it was my last day at school for the week, and tomorrow the twins were coming over.

But I was also really nervous because of them coming over. Would they like my mom and Phil? Would mom and Phil like them? Would they even approve?

But I feel they would at least be ok with them since I finally made friends.

"Are you guys ready for tomorrow? Do you need help finding my house? Do you..." I was cut off by Martha.

"Bella! Don't worry, it'll be fine," she smiled reassuringly at me. It sort of worked, but I was still really nervous.

Then Bryan spoke. "We know the address, we'll find your house just fine. Now stop worrying. I bet everything will go fine.."

I tried my best to believe him. I even started to relax. Everything will be fine I told myself. I chanted it in my head with some strange tune I came up with.

I hummed it in some of my classes even. Which garnered some weird stares from other students. By this point, I didn't care so long as I could be calm.

Finally the day was over! I drove home in a hurry. I just wanted to start on the organizing so it wouldn't take as long tomorrow. I really wanted it to go well, and as you can tell.... I'm freaking out!

Calm down Bella I told myself. Eventually I gave up on my organizing and humming to calm me down. It was time to take a shower.

I stayed in the shower until all the hot water ran out. I let it relax my muscles as best as it could. I even used my favorite strawberry shampoo. It's smell helped calm me slightly, but enough to allow me to sleep right after.

"Bella!" my mom yelled, waking me from my sleep.

"Huh?" I grunted. I was only slightly disoriented.

"You need to get up! Help me finish up around the house. I need to start cooking." and with that my mom left.

Oh crap! I forgot to warn the twins about my moms cooking. Maybe if I hurry...

"Bella! Come on!"

Nope. I'll have to try as soon as they get here. If I have a chance to, that is.

Ding dong!

The doorbell rang. I ran to it before my mom could leave the kitchen.

"Hey Bella!" Bryan said enthusiastically.

"Shhhhh!" Well that was dumb. Mom already knew they were here. "I forgot to warn you two. My moms cooking isn't always the most edible... or tasty for that matter. She's an 'imaginative' cook. I am so sorry!" I was mortified.

"Bella! It'll be fine. We eat basically anything. Don't worry," Martha replied. Yet again, they were trying to calm me down. Ugh. Get a grip Bella!

Then mom walked up to the door, opening it wider, to greet my friends.

"So you must be the Martha and Bryan she's been talking so much about!" she exclaimed.

"Mom!"

"What? It's nice to meet you two!" Then mom held out her hand to shake both of theirs. Why does she have to act so weird?

"It's nice to meet you too, Mrs. Swan!" they replied in sync with each other.

Mom laughed then said, "Oh please! Just call me Renée!"

Mom led them into the living room, and had them sit on the couch. "Just wait here! I need to finish dinner and then I have a little something for you guys. Alright? Be right back!"

She ran out of the room like a little child. I think she was enjoying this way to much, but I wouldn't ruin this happy moment for her.

Once mom had finished cooking our 'meal' she introduced Phil to the twins.

"Martha, Bryan, this is my fiancé Phil Dwyer. Phil, these are Bella's new friends, the twins."

"Oooh! You're engaged?" Martha asked curiously.

"Yes! Didn't she tell you? Phil and I are getting married soon! We're still planning the date. But for now.." mom smiled at us.

"So! How about dinner? I made my favorite Mexican recipe. I've been working on this one for a while. I hope you two will like it!"

As we sat at the table and ate, I noticed the twins barely touched their food. But they still took bites of their food.

"Aren't you two hungry?" Mom had noticed my stares.

"Yeah. We just have a hard time finishing specific things," replied Bryan.

"Well, I do hope you can finish your desert?" Mom half questioned them.

"Of course!" Martha quickly replied. "What we don't finish, we can take home to our parents for later."

Mom nodded. After we 'finished' eating, mom went into the kitchen. She put their food into a Tupperware container, then set it aside for them to take home.

She then grabbed the desert. Marble cake, which she could only have gotten from the store. Not that there's a problem with that. At least we have one edible thing to eat.

When we were finished, mom sent them on their way.

"Don't be shy! Come by any time you want!" She yelled out the door.

I'm glad it wasn't so bad. Mom and Phil really seemed to like them. Thankfully it felt like a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulder!

Maybe I could get a decent nights sleep tonight?!
