Thank you to my readers! You guys are helping make it worth writing for! :D
When we entered the classroom, Angela went to sit at a black-topped lab table. They were exactly like the ones I was used to back in Phoenix.
She already had a neighbor. In fact all the tables were filled but one. Next to the center aisle sat Edward Cullen, next to the only empty seat. I mentally groaned.
I walked down the aisle to introduce myself to the teacher, and get my slip signed. Edward had this strange look on his face... I couldn't tell what it was. Anger? Surprise?
I wasn't sure, but I did know he had to be hungry. His eyes were coal black, and that's exactly how mine looked before I was thirsty. What. An. Idiot. He could kill someone!
Mr. Banner signed my slip and handed me a book. He didn't make me introduce myself... well more like didn't want me to. But I was fine with that. I could tell we were going to get along great.
Sadly, he had no choice but to send me to the only open seat in the room. I kept my eyes down as I went to sit by him, afraid of what he would say. Afraid because he was the first vampire I've ever come across since them.
I didn't look up as I set my book on the table and took my seat. I saw his posture change from the corner of my eye, and heard him scribble something on a slip of paper.
Then he passed it to me.
We need to talk.
I looked at him then, seeing his hard stare. I shook my head, and quickly wrote back.
Just you and I?
Edward looked at me, and shook his head before scribbling on his piece of paper. When I read it, I was terrified.
My family and I need to meet with you. Tonight.
I can't.
He looked angry.
Why.
My father.
And when he falls asleep?
He's got me there.
Fine. Where.
Edward quickly scribbled down the directions to the place his family was staying.
I wasn't happy with tonight's plans, but what else would I do all night? I tried to focus on taking the notes on cellular anatomy. The least I could do was act like I was paying attention; I already knew it all.
Oddly enough, this class was dragging by compared to the others. Maybe it was because I was sitting next to someone I despised. Or maybe it was because I was dreading going to a house full of vampires that I in no way trusted. What could they possibly want with me?
At that moment, the bell rang. Edward was out of the door long before anyone was out of their seat. Clearly, he was in a hurry.
I gathered my stuff up slowly, as a male walked over to me. He had a cute, baby face. His pale blonde hair was spiked up, and he was smiling at me.
He smelled so yummy. My mind started concocting plans to lead him away to the nearby woods. I could see his blood pounding through the veins in his neck. I licked my lips in anticipation. It would be quick... for me. For him... I couldn't say.
