Chapter XII

Third person POV

Katalyna decided that telling Caleb everything was the way to go. Reasoning? A) nothing stays a secret. B) Caleb is her best friend and C) what could go wrong? Let's just say C wasn't on Katalyna's favor. When she was telling him everything, one could see the adoration in Caleb's eyes but Katalyna couldn't see it since she was looking at his jaw and Adam's apple. When Caleb gets angry his jaw clenches up and his Adam's apple goes up and down.

Jonathan was going to ask if they needed anything else but saw the way Caleb was and Katalyna talking, he decided against it. Jonathan was sure that Caleb had a crush on Katalyna, maybe they were dating but Mrs. Lockwood said no and that why he served their table.

Caleb isn't mad at the fact that Katalyna went out with some random guy she just met, or that most of her friends are guys, or even the fact that she made out with a guy yesterday. What he was mad about was that she didn't tell him yesterday when they were together or the fact that it was Derek. She is replacing him! They know each other for a 2 yearsish but she knew Caleb since 5th grade. She never kissed him or gave him a hickey. Was she never curious about them? She took of her bra in front of him and lets him know everything about her even what she hates. Was he not good enough? It's not that he wanted to be with her or date her? Well maybe he got a crush on her a few years back and it went away but the ashes of it are still there. He is also pissed at Derek, he got the most gorgeous woman in the world to make out with and give him a hickey and then he gets her pissed by acting like a jock? He couldn't just sit here and not tell her how he feels. But then he looks down at Katalyna's knuckles and decides against screaming at her or leaving her behind. He breathes in and tries to get his words together.

"Look I am sorry about Derek but it is obvious that the guy likes you or at least wants you. So the fact that you did that with him only messed up his feelings. Also you gave him a hickey and made out with him and then with Bender kissing you on the cheek, that's different for both of you since it's part of your culture but to Derek it's not. When you told him about it or when he saw it, it probably made him jealous because that same morning you were doing something so intimate with him. Then you got pissed off because he was acting like a jock and left. You didn't make out with the guy you just met right?" Caleb says and thought about how he would act like if he was in Derek's position.

"No I didn't I am not a slut. Plus the fact that we almost kissed a couple of times before and I just had to get it out of my head. Sorry I am impulsive but I liked him a while back and he didn't and had a girlfriend. Then he became single and tried to get with me but I got over him and started dating Michael. He knows how I am, kissing means nothing, sex is what means more, well the first time. The first always kind of matter most." Katalyna said getting pissed and started hitting her knuckles against her seat making them bleed again. Because her first kiss was so great. She was supposed to kiss Caleb, it was their pact but no, Matthew decided that he was going to take it. When she told Caleb he got so mad, he punched Matthew in the face.

"You are not a slut or a hoe, remember that. And I know I get it but trust me we are guys it's different." Caleb said looking at her.

"Explain to me how guys are different." Katalyna asked annoyance clear in her voice. But she also get a napkin and tries to clean her wounds.

"We are wimps. We could be in love with a girl but won't do anything because of fear of losing her. Especially if the girl is you. Losing you would be like losing a lung. You can live with one lung but you will never be the same, you can't do things you used to love because you need both lungs, you run out of breath so much faster but also when someone looks at you they run out of breath too. And you are different than all the other girls. You are the girl that all guys want to have. You don't need reassurance about what you are doing because if you are doing it then it doesn't matter. Imagine just having you so close like that and then you not feeling the same way the person feels must break your heart. Guys are not used to being the ones attached since they are brought up to believe the girl is the clingy one. When they do get attach it is a scary feeling and then your feelings are reciprocated. Guys are different, they are weaker when it comes to feelings." Caleb explained knowing that if that happened to him he would of been jealous. Hell yesterday seeing the way Derek and Bender looked at her made his blood boil. Bender just met her but you don't need to know Katalyna for long to love her, it's just the way she is.

"Thank you but I am not a lung. Caleb are you in love with someone?" She said a faint blush on her cheeks from his explanation.

"Umm... no. I mean I don't want someone so even if I was in love I wouldn't get after it, I would get over myself. You know falling in love at this moment of our lives isn't smart and dangerous." Caleb said and finished his food.

"Okayyy." Katalyna says but she isn't buying it. She was already done with her food and started pulling out her wallet.

"What do you think you are doing?" Caleb asked.

"Paying. That's what you do when you buy food." She said taking out some money.

"No you don't, I am paying and don't hit me with the 'women can pay too' because I am your friend and I invited." He said and took out his money and placed it on the table. But Katalyna couldn't not pay so she left Jonathan a nice tip under her plate. As they both left and said goodbye to Mrs. Lockwood, Jonathan was going to the table.

"Jonathan check under the plate." Katalyna said and then left, Caleb was just confused and followed her out.

Jonathan got the tip and was happy. It was 20 bucks, that was so nice people never give anyone that much tip. "Mrs. Lockwood you were right she is a great person." Jonathan told Mrs. Lockwood, she smile and nodded.

"You left him your number?" Caleb asked as they drove off the diner.

"Nope, I left him a 20 dollar tip." Katalyna said with a huge smile on her face.

"20 dollars? Our meal was 30 dollars." Caleb said knowing why she gave such a huge tip.

"Well you didn't let me pay and you didn't leave him tip. Also you were rude to him to I gave him a nice tip." Katalyna said and put hand sanitizer on her now open wounds.

"How did you open them?" Caleb asked as she winces from the sting.

"I got pissed while talking and I started punching my chair. Now I gotta get to school or I will make you late." Katalyna said and texted her mom.

Katalyna: I am almost at school. I slept well and ate a good breakfast. Did you talk to the kids?

Mami: Good you had waffles like always though. They did they told me to tell you that they love you and if you could call them when you get home from school.

Katalyna: I did, okay I will first thing I do. Bye mom, love you ❤️

Mami: love you too ❤️

"We are here your badesty." Caleb says as he pulls up to the school.

"Badesty? Really?" Katalyna asks while she tries not to laugh at the terrible pun.

"Yea you see majesty and bad together since you are looking like a bad girl." Caleb said using hand gestures to explain.

"Aaah okay. Bye Caleb love you." Katalyna says giving him a kiss on his forehead and opens the car door.

"Text me you twat and I love you too." Caleb says and drives away.

The people that were close to the car heard and saw the exchange and we all know how fast thing go around in high school. They were already talking about the way Katalyna was dressing, the hot guy that dropped her off and what happened to her hands.

"Get a life and stop talking about shit you don't know anything about. Trust me that you don't want to get on my nerves today because I will bust my knuckles again on someone's face if I get pissed, guy or girl!" Katalyna said and walked to her locker.
