Chapter 18

{Todoroki's POV}

Get yourself together, Todoroki. This is no place to feel... Jealousy? No! Of course not. As soon as Yaoyorozu admits that she actually likes someone, I felt everything inside me break down, it was almost as painful as the horrid times I used to spend with my father. I left the room, not wanting to hear anymore about the person she admires. I walk outside the hospital towards the nearby park and settle down on one of the benches. I lean back and stare up at the cloudy sky, oh look, even the atmosphere around me matches my emotions.

I close my eyes, trying to get rid of all my frustrations. After awhile, I hear someone settle down beside me. I open my eyes to see who it was and there she was sitting, looking at me. Jirou. "You alright? You seem frustrated" she asks. "I'm alright, what are you doing here?" I lied. "You may be good at hiding emotions but frustration isn't one of them. Tell me what's wrong?" "I brought her to my mom because my mom wanted to meet her and during their meeting, my mom asked if she liked anyone and she said that she did"

"I'm guessing that this her is Yaoyorozu? Am I right?" she concludes. Seeing no point in denying, I just nod my head in agreement. "Do you know who this someone is?" she asks. "No, I left. I didn't want to hear the name of the person. I might 'accidentally' end up punching him" I say. She shrugs and says "Well, I hope you have a fun time attacking yourself" "What?"

"Dude, she likes you and as her best friend, I should know" she says giving me a knowing smile. I laugh while shaking my head. "She doesn't" She rolls her eyes and mutters something under her breath along the lines of 'Yaoyorozu, you're going to make this guy go insane' "Alright, I'll just wait until she finally tells you" she says. "How are you and Kaminari?" I ask in an attempt to change the topic. I watch as she blushes and starts denying any accusations.

Lots of teasing later, "Enough of Kaminari. Interested in getting food, you can bring some back to Yaoyorozu and your mom." she suggested. Seeing as Yaoyorozu and my mom were probably still talking about... Him, I agreed to go with Jirou. Is there really a possibility of Yaoyorozu liking me? Mayb- but no! There's absolutely no chance! Geez Todoroki, move on. Forget about her. You can't force her to love you especially now since she does like someone.

"Hello? Todoroki? You're zoning out on me again. Were you thinking about Yaoyorozu again?" she says, snapping her fingers in front of me. "Huh? Are we there yet?" I ask. She sighs and says, "While you were zoning out I called Kaminari and he said he was going to come here and join us" "Why?" I ask. "Because Todoroki, I have a plan that would prove to you that she really does like you and I asked Kaminari to come because I'm going to be needing some assistance" she says striking a confident pose.

Minutes later, we arrived at the restaurant and sat in an empty table along with Kaminari who had recently arrived. "So, what's this plan all about?" I ask with my arms crossed ready to hear the crazy shenanigans these two have planned. "Well this plan was actually planned a long time ago specially made and prepared for when this case would take place cause we knew this was bound to happen. Since you said Yaoyorozu thinks you fancy a girl in our class that's not her, we just have to ask that girl to pretend date you until Yaoyorozu gets jealous then she'd be forced to confess her undying love for you"

I took the plan into consideration and realized it wasn't that bad except that I'd have to pretend 'date' someone. "Alright but Yaoyorozu doesn't get jealous. She's quiet and hides what she feels" I say. "True, she's good at hiding her emotions but jealousy isn't one of them. Ashido told me that when Yaoyorozu saw this girl staring at you with lust in her eyes, Yaoyorozu looked furious and was ready to strangle her, she literally ranted to Ashido about how disgraceful the girl was so that won't be a problem"

"So who does Yaoyorozu think you like?" Kaminari asks. "Jirou" I bluntly say. "What?!" Jirou screams. "And she never told me! That girl is secretive" "Then you have to pretend date Jirou" Kaminari states staring at her. "I'm alright with it but it's going to create a big issue because everyone knows me and Kaminari are officially dating" Jirou says blushing. "Knew it" I say, smirking. "It's fine, I'll tell everyone the plan except Yaoyorozu so that they won't be surprised" Kaminari says putting his arm around her shoulder, reassuring her.

"So we're really going to do this?" I ask tensed and ready for a whole load of drama to happen. "Yep" both Kaminari and Jirou say. We discussed the plan a little further to make sure that everything would look natural, we set up a back story and everything to make it believable. Once finished, they headed home while I bought food to bring for my mom. I went back to the hospital and tell my mom that we need to head out.

Yaoyorozu seems awfully tensed yet confident at the same time. My mom's greeting to her made me think about what it actually meant and I decided to ask her. When the time is right? What's that supposed to mean? I continue to stare at her thinking about the plan that's going to commence. Plan make Todomomo happen in action!
