Chapter 21

{Yaoyorozu's POV}

Going through the woods? Alone with Todoroki? And to make it even worse, no quirks. Does everything really want to go against my will? I want to get over Todoroki but obviously, with my luck, I end up getting stuck in the forest alone with him. Isn't the world so cooperative? I remained silent behind Todoroki, unable to start a conversation like I usually would. Based on the map, this forest is huge and just after 30 minutes does my foot start hurting. If only I was told that we weren't able to use our quirks earlier, I would have been able to create myself a comfortable pair of shoes.

Heels, skirt and long-sleeves are not your typical attire when going through the woods but sadly that's what I'm stuck with. I wonder how the other girl recommended students are holding up. Not wanting to bother Todoroki, I suck up the pain and continue walking behind him. God this is like walking on needles. Someone help me and my foot and in an instant it's as if my request has been fulfilled. Prince charming, Todoroki Shoto comes to the rescue. He apparently noticed me wincing from the pain and asked if I was alright.

I deny although the pain was starting to become unbearable but (thankfully) oh boy is my prince- oh wait, Jirou's prince persistent. He bent down to quite an awkward pose. What is he doing? "Hop on. Give your foot a break" he says. Tell me, Todoroki, how do you expect me to get over you when you keep doing things like this? "N-no, I can't ask something like that from you. It's quite alright, thank you" I respond, flailing my arms. "Yaoyorozu, I won't get up from here until you get on. Come on, I'm waiting and I'll keep waiting" he says, turning his head back giving me a slight smirk.

So persistent. I walk forward towards him and climb on. I put my arms around his neck while he places his arms at the back of my thighs, holding on securely. "Hold on tightly, I wouldn't want you hurting yourself" I cling onto him slightly tighter and I could swear that I saw him give a slight grin. I held open the map for the both of us to see. Based on the map and our current position, we weren't actually far off. Maybe hearing that he actually likes Jirou and what he really feels for her will help me get over this secretive heartbreak.

"So, you and Jirou huh? And you kept denying it too" I tease. I feel and see him slightly tense under me. "Uhh, yeah" he starts, "It was actually quite unexpected, I just gathered up my courage and asked Jirou out. These past few days with her has been incredibly special and I'm glad I did what I did" NOPE, what am I doing? Why am I so stupid? Why did I think that hearing him say those things would make all these stupid feelings go away? "I hope you two enjoy the thing going on between the two of you, I'm so so happy for my two closest friends." I say sinking into his nape taking in his refreshing scent, after all this was the closest I'll ever get to him.

After a few minutes of silence, "Does that mean the nickname of 'Mrs. Momo Todoroki' ends here?" I tease trying to remove the unwavering silence. I hear him laugh under me, he turns his head around to face me and says with his cheeky grin, "Why? Are you missing that side of me, the side that only you can open?" badump. Why do you have to do this to me Todoroki? That smile, the teasing and everything else you do to me that makes my heart skip a beat. I give him a genuine smile and then look down feeling my face burn up slightly, "... Yeah... "

I see his eyes flare wide open for a split second before it returns back to his original reaction. "Yaoyorozu, don't you worry. You'll always be my Mrs. Momo Todoroki" he says while smirking, and in one swift movement he went from a piggy back ride to him carrying me bridal style. "Let's forget everything else and go back to how we were while we're inside the woods. Now, Mrs. Todoroki, let's start our honeymoon shall we? We've been married for quite sometime and every newly wedded couple should have time to celebrate on their own" he says.

I'm still in shock from the sudden change in position but when I heard him say those words, the only words that were needed to be said to convince me. To forget everything. I did as he said and showed him the side of me that loved him, the side that still loves him and the side that wants to come out to him and just say, 'Todoroki, why can't you see that I love you?' the only trigger to show that side was the nickname he called me, Mrs. Todoroki. I caressed his cheek slowly taking in all his features, his slightly pale skin, his heterochromia eyes and those blush coloured lips that were, in that moment, extremely tempting.

"What's on our honeymoon plan, Todoroki?" I ask continuing to caress his cheek. I notice him staring at the gesture I was currently doing and thought he found it too intimate. I pulled my hand away from his cheek but in an instant was pulled back by Todoroki. "Don't stop" he simply states as he flutters his eyes shut leaning into my ongoing touch. This was how I hoped everything ended, him falling in love with me instead of Jirou but after we leave this woods, everything is returned back to the way things were, after all Todoroki and Jirou, my best friend, are dating.

I'M BACK FROM AN EIGHT HOUR FLIGHT AND I HAVE TO SAY THAT PEOPLE ON THE PLANE WERE HYPERVENTILATING BECAUSE THE PLANE WENT THROUGH COUNTRIES WITH TERRIBLE WEATHER SO IMAGINE TRYING TO STAY CALM WITH PEOPLE THINKING THAT WERE ABOUT TO DIE. I WATCHED KIMI NO NA WA ON THE PLANE AND LISTENED TO THE GREATEST SHOWMAN SOUND TRACK 5 TIMES ON REPEAT. ANYWAYS, HOPED YOU ENJOY! DON'T FORGET TO LIKE, SHARE AND COMMENT!
