Super sorry for missing the last few updates!

I promise I will try hard to keep up with the updates from now on.

Make sure to see "Updating" for some info and stuff about the future of this fanfic.

. . .

Third Person POV

Six woke with a start, jolting up, out of Seven's arms.  As soon as she was out of his reach, he closed his arms around his stomach, curling up into a ball.  He winced and his face scrunched up with pain.  It was pitiful, and Six felt her heart drop at the sight.

Carefully wrapping him up in her arms, she rocked him gently.

A few seconds later he woke up too.

"Six!  I had this nightmare, i-it was horrible..."

Six frowned, "What was it about?"

"You were there, and we argued a bit.  T-then your mom came in, and she separated us."

"I think," Six felt her heart rate increase, "I think we had the same dream!"

Seven's eyes widened underneath his bangs, "Really?!"

Six nodded, letting silence fill the space between them.  Seven eventually stopped shaking, and his crying died down.  He held onto Six, and they rocked gently for awhile.

Seven's POV

That, that was scary.

The Lady, Six's mom, was really intimidating.  She had thrown me around like I was nothing.

Thrown Six around like she was nothing.

She would pay for that.

No one hurts my Six.

I shook my head.  I was getting weirdly possessive.

And yet, I kind of liked it.

Six has her own life!  She isn't yours!

I glared inwardly at myself, I was being so selfish!

I should distract myself from this...

"Now I know why your nightmares always scare you so much."

I gave a dry laugh.

I could almost see Six's empathetic gaze, "I'm sorry you had to be there," she giggled to herself, "and I'm also sorry for not believing you were real."

"It's fine, I didn't believe you either." I felt myself smile, and I felt warmer inside.

She smiled back, and the mood lightened.

The Janitor's POV

It had all started off nicely.  I had woken up, drank my gross-ass coffee, and was about to wake up the kids.

That was when she burst in.

"I require one of your children Roger."  Her voice was stern, it's lovely melodic quality overshadowed by anger.

"Who?" I asked, genuinely curious, she never bothered me or the kids often.  She certainly had never done this before, "Why?"

Third Person POV (because I forgot he can't see)

"I simply need a traitorous child, one who goes by the name of Seven." her mask almost seemed to darken as she said the next part, "As for why," the mask's features seemed to change to an ominous smirk, "to simply show him what happens when children disobey the rules."

Back to Roger (Going to start calling him that b/c 'the Janitor' is too long for my lazy-ass)

I felt my stomach drop, she knows?

How?

"Right this way, Miss." I led her to the nursery, trying to hide my shaking, what could I do to help Seven?

I figured my best bet would be to get her to the children as soon as possible, in hopes that Seven wasn't back yet.

I opened the bedroom door, and led her to Seven's empty bed.  I tried my best to act shocked at her reaction.

"You are sure this is his bed?"

"Uh, yes Ma'am, is there something wrong?"

"He isn't here..."

"H-he's not here!" I tried to act surprised and angry.

She sighed, "This is what I get for employing a blind babysitter."

I tried not to feel hurt at the comment.  I gave a passive shrug. (Total bad ass)

"Do you know if he's been gone any other nights?"

Another shrug, "I didn't know anyone could have left until now."

The Lady let out a long groan.  I heard a few confused murmurs from newly awakened children.

"Come Miss, lets get out of their earshot."

I led a raging geisha out of the children's quarters.

I'll have to start bringing both of them food.

I hope Seven knows not to come back.

Seven's POV

I leaned back against the side of the vent, trying to process what I had just heard.

My suspicions had just been confirmed.  There would be no going back now.

Six placed her hand on my shoulder, murmuring comforting whispers to me.

The only place I had ever called home, even though it had been horrible, was now lost to me.  I couldn't say I would miss it, but in all honesty; I did value it sentimentally.

The Janitor must be freaking out right now.  I hope I have a chance to explain everything to him.

My face must've betrayed my worry, since Six began to rub circles in my back.

"Its going to be ok."

"Yeah," I hugged her, "it will be."

We're both runaways now.

. . .

Hey guys!

Finally had time to update the story.  Next chapters will be longer, promise!

I am planning a shitload of fluff, and there will be some Janitor shipping happening.

As they get older, and now that they are officially both runaways, they will likely be moving around the ship more, eventually leaving Six's room forever!

They will have a bunch of really cute moments in the future, plus they will save the inhabitants of the Maw.  (Making it into a place where they can continue to grow up together)

Also, if you haven't already, please see my update on "Updating" (hehe) about whats been happening with the delays and stuff.  (I also just want to have people look at my art there).

(It's b/c I'm an egotistical maniac)

Anyway, I'm going to go eat some toast now,

Hope you have a great day!

Lots of Love,

Raven
