Cedar: Coming, mommy!
Hyatt: But can't we play for just five more minutes?
Dean: And let mommy's delicious dinner get cold? C'mon kids!
(The kids rush to the dinner table as Evelyn takes center stage)

Evelyn:
Years have passed and Dean and I have two wonderful children who never seem to rest! We have a little girl named Cedar and a son named Hyatt. My parents were eventually okay with my decision and allowed me to marry the love of my life. I never truly got over Quinten, but I see him every so often, in the little things... he's there one moment and it's almost as if he's truly there, and then the next moment he just disappears into the light. He visits me, and I'm okay with that. Hiayang is still the leader of Valliea, which by the way is doing amazing, she's kept all of her promises to rebuild the town and make so many lives much easier and better then when Directer was around. Everyone has found happiness in their new lives-even Bestanden! Life never plays out the way you always expect, but it works out in a way that's better than you'd ever imagined and maybe better than the way you wanted it! And not everyone believes in you, but you have to follow your heart because life is like a collection of trees... you never know what's at the end unless you walk through the forest!
