Y/N's POV
I was waiting for Lucius to finish his last class. Today is Friday and I decided to confess my love for my bestfriend who has been there for me since we were a child.

I prepared the suprise at his favorite restaurant 'Sinners' (IKR? IT'S REALLY RANDOM). "Hey Y/N! How's my bestfriend doing?" Lucius said as he drapped his shoulder around my shoulders and walked.

I blushed at the sudden contact and said, "I-I'm fine. How about you? What's happening lately?" We dropped by his locker and the next thing I knew, my life was going to change forever. "Guess what Y/N? I confessed to *insert girl name* today and she said yes!"

I froze, 'what?'.

I tried to wake myself up because maybe I'm dreaming. But no, I'm in reality. Tears tried to escape from my corner of my eyes as I tried to stop them,"W-Wow! L-Lucius I'm s-so happy for you! She's s-such a lucky g-girl to have you!".

"Thanks Y/N! You're the best like always!" Lucius smiled. "Hehe, well I-I gotta go now! S-See you later!!" I said as I ran as fast as I could. I bawled my eyes out as I called the restaurant, "P-Please cancel my r-reservation. H-He's not coming and h-he'll never will."

The next morning, I saw Lucius with his new girlfriend. 'She really fits his ideal type' I thought to myself as I eyed her from head to toe. 'Curvy body, long hair and a bright personality. She really is a goddess' I mentally said.

As time goes by, me and Lucius slowly drifted apart. He spends more time with his girlfriend so I don't see the reason why I need to hang out with him.

10 years later...

My life has never been this better. I've become a half-CEO (IS THERE EVEN A BETTER TERM FOR THIS?) of my husband's company and have been married for 3 years. I decided to take a break and there's a cafè near my company.

I walked in inside the cafè as the aroma of coffee beans and the chattering of people woke me. I ordered the usual and waited until my order came. As I sat on an empty space with 2 chairs, someone decided to ask me.

"Uhm, is this seat taken?" I looked up to see my old bestfriend, Lucius. "Oh...it isn't" I replied back. He took the seat and sat down. Lucius chuckled and asked, "How's life by the way? I haven't seen nor heard about you since high school"

I looked up from my phone and stared at him. I opened my mouth until, "Miss? Here's your order". Before the waitress could leave, I held onto her wrist and said, "Wait! I change my mind, please prepare it for take out". She nodded as she took my order and left.

I returned my attention to Lucius and said, "My life has been pretty now that you have joined that petite girlfriend of yours. I would like to thank you for loving her and not me because maybe my life and career would go downhill."

"I actually broke up with my girlfriend 2 years ago. I just wanted to tell you thay I have feelings for you until now. I was so dumb to leave you for *insert girl's name*. Please, just give me a second chance. Choose me over your husband, cheat him with me." Lucius pleaded.

I stared at him in horror as I slapped him on the face, "YOU THINK I WOULD FUCKING DO THAT TO HIM?? I'M GLAD THAT YOU AREN'T MY HUSBAND BECAUSE AT LEAST HE IS A KEEPER AND YOU AREN'T!! HE TREATS ME BETTER THAN YOU EVER COULD AND I WOULDN'T REGRET MARRYING HIM!!"

I finished shouting my anger at him. The waitress stared at me as she shakily gave me the take out. I eyed Lucius from head to toe and said, "Unlike you, my husband isn't the type of man who ditches his bestfriend for a girl 10 years ago who eventually left you for another man. It was never nice meeting you and do not ever talk to me nor call me ever again."

I walked out at the cafè as I called my husband to pick me up. 'I'm a strong, independent women and I'm not the young and naive Y/N 10 years ago. I've grown up to become strong and I am not going to let that go in to waste.' I thought to myself.
