The Never Ending River.

We need... a TARDIS.

In Cardiff we drank in a café on the bay. Clyde and Luke were sniggering to each other on there own table as Rani sat there looking extremely cross sat with Sarah Jane and I. 'What's up?' I asked, trying to comfort the otherwise uneasy girl. She told me of how she was feeling left out alot of the time and that 'them pair' kept skyping Maria (there friend who moved to America) while she was sat alone at home. Sarah Jane then reassured Rani that she'd have words with Luke who, by my judgement was an extreemly pleasant, intellectual young man.

Five minutes into our rambling about our tales with the Doctor a man burst through the cafe doors. 'Someone call for a captain?' the tall, handsome man exclaimed loudly in a bold American like accent. 'That'd be me' I enthusiastically replied with a smirk. 'Why hello, my names Jack, Captain Jack Harkness and you are?' 'River Song' I remarked as his right eyebrow flirtatiously raised. 'Sarah Jane!' his head quickly turned, 'Great to see you again.' he lifted her hand and gave her a delecate peck. Sarah rose from her seat and gave Jack a loving hug. We all sat with Jack listening to his amazing stories for what seemed hours. He sat and listened to ours too. At this point Sarah received a call from her editor and had to get the train back to Ealing with Rani, Clyde and Luke. 'Be careful!' Sarah Jane smiled as Jack and I waved them off at the station.

Jack later took me back to an underground basement, he explained to me the devistating story of Torchwood. He took my vortex manipulator and placed it into a machine that resembled the Pandorica he said it would easily give it 'a good old restart'. 'So River what's he like, after he regenerates?' I explained to him how I met the doctor he knew ('the one with the skinny suit and the hair?'). I explained that he was a completely different man now. Much younger yet so much older. He was happy but he hid a scar of fears and regrets deep inside. I even told Jack of Amy and Rory and the day I married my Doctor. he quickly added with his Captain Jack smirk ' Oh honey! You beat me to him!'

'Having a nice time Jack?' A strong welsh accent flew accross the Torchwood base. 'Gwen, this is River Song!' Jack replied. Gwen dropped the pizza box she was holding and paced swiftly towards me with a glare which would match a pouncing lion. She raised her fist and I was out.

I awoke in the back of a car, but didn't make it obvious I was awake when Jack turned around from the front passenger seat and explained why Gwen was so uptight about letting people in the base. My eyes met hers in the rearview mirror, she was calm now and apologised for the outburst.

'Where are we heading to?' I asked. Jack said that they'd been looking for the doctor for years and I was the best lead they'd ever had. 'Your vortex's manipulator had unlocked U.N.I.T's protocol on the doctor when we connected it to our system. We've got so many TARDIS sightings to follow now River, welcome to Torchwood.'
