《 Tia's POV 》I didn't see Tony nor T'Challa after that- they had immediately gone to track down Steve and Bucky. Nat', too, had disappeared.
All the facts so far point towards Nat meeting up with Steve for Infinity War, though... My stomach gave a nasty lurch as my mind drifted back to the trailers of the third Avengers movie. I wished I knew what exactly happened in the movie... When I had been brought to this world, Infinity War still had a week before it came out in cinemas. I pushed the thoughts away with a slight shake of my head. Now that I had connected more with everyone, it would just be ten times harder to let them go.
Right now, I was an airport terminal (not one of the ones at Leipzig) with Peter, who needed to catch a flight back to Queens (and Happy, who was hovering around us like an overprotective mother goose). Vision would have accompanied us, but we thought the whole 'being an AI program in a humanoid body' thing probably would have blown Peter and I's cover as normal citizens. So, we had made Vision stay behind at the hospital with Rhodey.
"You'll text me when they say if Mr. Rhodes will okay or not, right?" Peter asked anxiously.
"Of course!" I assured him, "Except there's one problem. I don't have your phone number, doofus."
"Ohh, right! Here," Peter chuckled, fishing his phone out of the side pocket of his backpack and clicking into the 'Phone' app to display his phone number. I quickly copied the number sequence into a 'New Contact' section of my own phone (which I then named 'Spider Boi').
"Aaaand done," I smiled, nudging my glasses into a more comfortable position with my free hand. Peter dropped his phone into his jacket pocket.
"Any time this century might be nice," Happy remarked. A not-so-subtle hint that he and Peter would need to board the plane soon.
Peter chuckled sheepishly, "I'm sure it'll be fine, Happy!"
"How's your side? You got hit pretty hard back at Leipzig..." I raised my eyebrow questioningly.
Peter shrugged, "Oh, it's nothing... But bit sore... Luckily, I didn't break anything, just bruised. You?"
"Apparently I didn't break my ribs, just got smashed really hard into the ground," I sighed, stuffing my phone back into my jeans pocket.
"Last call for Flight 394 to Queens. Repeat, last call for passengers taking Flight 394 to Queens," A voice echoed over the loudspeakers.
"Parker..." Happy warned again.
"Guess we should get going, then!" Peter bounced slightly on the balls of his feet, and hefted his backpack over his shoulder.
"Yeah, make sure you got all your science homework done!" I smirked. Peter patted his backpack.
"All in here! ...Plus, I still have maths homework to do..." He said grudgingly.
"Well, good luck with that. Have a peaceful trip back and give May a high-five from me!" I instructed firmly.
"Haha, right! Will do!" He laughed. My face broke into a smile.
"And stay safe, Pete...!" I pulled the brown-haired male into a hug.
"O-oh! Of course I will! You too!" He fumbled his own words as he returned the gesture, "See you around?"
FANGIRL SIDE, DON'T START SCREAMING!
"Definitely. See you later, Spider-Boy," I grinned, stepping back. Peter smiled and hurried away towards the airplane boarding gate, with Happy close behind. At the door, the younger male turned back and waved enthusiastically. I snorted and waved back. Peter bounded further into the boarding tunnel and vanished from my sight. Happy half waved before he, too, entered the plane's boarding ramp.
