Can You Forgive Me? (An Aidesse Story)

What if it was Him?

Warning: Long chapter.

Petra's P.O.V:

Axel, Olivia, Lukas, Ivor, and I are all in the treehouse talking about who the murderer could be. Why is Jesse not with us? Because we all think it was Aiden and she doesn't believe it.

"What if there is more than one?" Olivia asks, nervously playing with her fingers. I notice how concerned and nervous everyone is.

I reply, "If there is more than one, it could be the blaze rods. Or it could be someone we don't know. Also, why is everyone so worried? We have handled Wither storms-" Ivor cuts me off and yells, "White pumpkins-" Olivia says, "Old builders-" Lukas replies, "Spleef-" Axel says, "And we have dealt with Aiden before. If it is him. Then he has something coming for him."

Jesse walks in and she looks confused on why everyone is here. "Guys, what are you talking about?" I walk up to her and say, "We are talking about the murderer, and we all suspect Aiden." I look to see if there is any anger in her whatsoever. She sighs and says, "I know. If it is him, then I order you to kill him. If it is. If we ever do catch him in the act, kill him. I don't want him in prison. After all the stuff he did, he deserves to die." She sighs and adds, "I'm going to go to my room. Goodbye." She trips several times trying to get there. I was about to go ask Lukas to see what was wrong, but he was already heading to her room.

I look over at them and ask, "Uh, kill him? Let's just like not listen to Jesse for once. We have a prison that they would look just fine in." Everyone was a little terrified of why Jesse wanted to kill him, but I guess that she is just a little pissed off at how Aiden is always the suspect.

Lukas' P.O.V:

I open the door slightly and see Jesse staring at Reuben, mumbling something. She looks at me and she spats at me, "Ever heard of knocking dimwit?" I am taken aback by that, but I still come in. I sit next to her and put my hand on her hand and ask, "What is wrong." She looks at me, then outside, and replies in a hostile way, "Oh nothing, you just learn that the guy you go out with just robs people every night while you sleep."

"Jesse, you might be right." She glares at me, I can see a hint of confusion. "I mean, if you believe so much Aiden is a changed man, it might not be him." I say. She says, "It's getting late, can you leave?" I get up and leave. I want to say goodnight, but she slams the door on my face. Nevermind then.

We all head to bed and then we hear another scream; this time it sounds like someone is getting hurt. We all ran down and Jesse holds her sword. She was murmuring something under her breath.

Jesse's P.O.V:

I mumble under my breath as we run down to the house, "Please don't be Aiden. Please don't be Aiden. Please don't be Aiden." We see someone holding a knife, trying to stab-or threaten- the screaming women. I yell at the guy to stop but he doesn't move at all. I take a step forward and he still doesn't move. I look in confusion, and go after him, but then he moves. Petra screams, "He's on the move!" We try to chase him but he disappears into the night.

"Great, just great." Petra exclaims, mostly to herself, and paces around the treehouse. I look at everyone. I notice everyone is looking tired, probably because of being up all night. "Hey I got an idea." I say and everyone's attention snaps onto me. "We could find someone and use them as bait for the robber, but I don't know who will be willing."

We all knew what we were thinking. "I'll go call him." I say.

After a while we get a knock on the door and Radar comes in. "Eeeeek! I'm so excited! A real mission I can do for you Jesse. I can't wait t-BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH" I groan and put both of my hands on his shoulders and say, "Radar look at me. Calm. Down." He salutes and says, "Yes, ma'am!"
