The Wrong Guy

Jesse's P.O.V:

I have to be honest, it feels lonely without his presence; it feels worse knowing that the guy I loved- COUGH- I mean the guy I was friends with is in jail. I feel like he wouldn't do it, but at the same time, they didn't have a good reputation in the past. I was at the treehouse fiddling with my fingers and Lukas comes in.

"I'm sorry about before." I tell him as he sits down next to me. He looks confused and asks, "What do you mean?"

"I mean about when I was back talking to you and called you a dimwit." I start to tear up and I actually feel bad. I shouldn't have been a jerk to him just because everyone suspects Aiden and I don't. He pulls me into a hug and he says, "It's okay. I know you had feelings for him." I pull away and try to protest. He puts a finger over my lips and says, "It's obvious." I sigh and think for a moment.

"Lukas."

"Yes?"

"I think we got the wrong guy." I say nervously. He looks at me, worry and concern and also pity is in his eyes. "You know, how about we go over to his cell and just visit him." I look up at him, "You'd do that for me?" He nods, "Anything for you." I blush slightly and say, "Thanks."

*** Timeskip to the prison area ***

"First I want to go see someone real quick." I say. Lukas looks at me confused. I head over to Romeo, who was once the admin.

"Hey, Romeo." I say in a cheery voice. "Hi Jesse. What are you doing here?" I sigh and say, "You have been in here for a while, as leader of Beacon Town I accept your forgiveness and you can leave." He smiles and as I let him out of jail he runs up and gives a big hug. "Thank you, Jesse I'm so sorry about everything. I'll make it up to you eventually." Those words hurt me, those were Aiden's words, but I ignore that and hug him back. Hugged him a little longer then expected and let go.

"See you later, Romeo." I smile and he says, "Ha, ya. See ya." He walks away and Lukas just watches, partly shocked and mostly happy.

"Now let's go see Aiden." We head over to his cell and he is hiding in the corner.

"Hey, you okay Aiden?" I ask, my voice fills with sadness and pity. "I'm okay, I guess. I... just want to get out of here." I sigh. Lukas refuses to show himself to Aiden so he waits for me at the door. "I'm sorry Aiden." He looks at me and asks, "Why?"

"Because I don't think it is you." I hold in my tears, it'd be weird to start crying right now. He notices I'm sad and puts his hand through the bars to hold mine. "I'll be okay, I mean this rusty place won't make me stop being happy. Just as long as you visit me." I smile and say, "Okay." He smiles back and we get closer and we share a kiss. It would of been perfect if Lukas didn't ruin it by saying, "Ahem?" He was tapping his foot at the entrance and I look at him nervously and Aiden is red head to toe.

"Bye Aiden." I let go of his hand and walk out, following Lukas. Aiden whimpers and mumbles, "Okay... see you later."

*** time skip to night time in the treehouse ***

I am exhausted. I take off my overalls and put on pjs and fall face first into my pillow. As I was just about to sleep I hear the alarm to the treasure room. Oh no. I rush to put my overalls back on and head downstairs.

"Hurry, come on Jesse." Petra shouts and we rush to the treasure room.

The guy is there, and without thinking, I charge at the person and jump onto whoever's back. The person pushes me off and scrambles up and runs out. I chase after the them and the others at my tail, if I had one. We corner the guy in an alley and he or she takes off his mask.

"Gill?!?" We all shout in unison. "I guess the cat is out of the bag, but soon the mice will be caught in the trap." We look in confusion. "I mean, oh nevermind."

"But wait, wasn't the evidence Aiden's blood?" Gill laughs in a very dark and creepy laugh, I got the shivers, and he says, "The blood was his, yes, but I got it from him. Remember the scratch on his ankle?" We nod. "I ask Maya to cut his ankle on 'accident' so when I cut mine you would suspect him. Maya used her jacket to wipe the blood, she gave the jacket to me, and then I used the jacket as a trap for him." I growl at him and yell, "So you framed him? You are so going to pay for this."

I clench my sword and get ready to fight but I feel something sharp go into my stomach. I hear everyone gasp and I feel around until I feel something wooden. That's when I realize that it is an arrow. Another one when in my arm. I black out.

I see a white room, with people in white outfits, and my friends in chairs. I blink a bit and my vision clears up. I see Radar, Lukas, Petra, Olivia, Axel, oh and Romeo!

"JESSE!" They all jump in, except for Romeo, and give me a big hug. "Guys. Squishing. Lungs. Can't. Breath." They let go and I say, "Romeo, come in here." I give him a hug as well. A few minutes I forgot what happened, then I remember. The agonizing pain in me comes and I randomly screech while everyone was talking.

"Jesse you okay?" Radar asks, with concern in his voice. The nurses answer for me saying, "She is badly wounded. The one arrow in her was actually a poison, we managed to get the poison out but the one wound was extremely close to her heart. A little too close." The other nurse adds, "If it was any closer she would have died." They all sigh in relief and then the machine that tracks your heart starts to go slower and my friends freak out.

"JESSE DON'T DIE ON US!!" Axel shouts, the nurse shushes him and says, "HUSH, We're putting her to sleep so we can do more surgery. Axel shouts, "YOUR PUTTING HER DOWN!?" The nurse facepalms and points to the door.

Petra's P.O.V:

"Seriously Axel?" I say as we all head out. He smiles, in a guilty way, "What?"

"Nevermind that." We all stay silent for a few minutes and Olivia gasps, "Wait a second! We still need to find Gill!" Olivia shouts. Our worry grew.

Lukas grins, "I have just the plan."

CLIFF HANGER, Mwhahahahahahaha. Anyways, I was bored for a while, so I'm probably going to be posting like crazy tomorrow since it is summer and I really have nothing else to do 😒😒.
