Julia knew something was wrong.
She pursed her lips as she looked at all the empty seats around her.
James and his friends were no where to be seen as well as Nadine. Their bags weren't there as well so maybe they had work... but it's fishy. Lauren, Mike and Henz were there before lunch but now they were also gone.
She raised a brow as she look at the seat in front of her. Debbie was also gone. But her bag was still there. Something was definitely odd.
Julia raised her hand to their sensei.
"Ma'am, I'm not feeling very well, may I go to the infirmary?" She said weakly, in an act.
Julia inwardly smirked as their teacher assent.
Once she was out of the room, she started looking for her missing classmates.
---------
Julia smiled as she spotted them. Henz and Debbie.
The two were ascending the stairs. Looks like they were going to the rooftop.
Julia followed them.
They were talking about something, but Julia couldn't really hear.
Finally they were at the topmost of the stairs. They didn't go out the rooftop.
Julia watched them, straining her ears so she could hear what they were talking about.
"Henz, I love you!"
Julia heard Debbie say very clearly.
She frowned.
'That's sweet. But I'm not interested.' she thought sarcastically, and sighing, she walked back down to their classroom.
---------
"Henz, I love you!"
"Huhhh?" Henz said, feeling surprised, light-headed, and unmistakenly happy.
But then Debbie looked back to where they came from.
"She's gone." She said.
"Huh?" Henz could only say.
"Julia was following us." Debbie said simply. "Now what is it you want to show me? And where are the others??" She said impatiently.
Feeling a bit downcast, Henz took Debbie's hand and pulled her out to the rooftop.
Henz's eyes widen.
"They're gone!"
"What are you talking about?" Debbie asked.
"I left them here with Mike." Henz started ranting. "Mauricio's stupid invention shrunk them and we put them here but then they disappeared and then we got the machine and then we found him and then Mike shrunk Nadine and Lauren and then the machine was ruined and now they're gone again!!!"
