Mauricio scoffed as he read the principal's email.

He was already board on the plane to Cebu. And he was not planning on getting off just because of a stinking emergency at an overrated high school. It must have been just another celebrity gossip or something. What does he care about those??

No. He wouldn't go back. Especially not when he finally have the chance to be rid of the damn school that doesn't recognize his gift; whose teachers and other employees think lowly of him and calls him 'weird'; and whose students mock him.

No. He wouldn't return to the school.

James's POV

I watched as Kiana brought Lauren and Nadine back to our table which was by the window.

I noticed Nadine was looking a lot better and relaxed. The bath helped, I guess. She was laughing at something Lauren must have said.

Kiana gently laid her hands on the table and Nadine and Lauren got off.

Ishii and Sam moved forward to meet them and I found myself following them.

I got a better view of the two girls. They really looked a lot better now.

But I saw Ishii frown.

"You still look pale." He addressed Lauren.

And for the first time, I saw it. What Sam must have seen. Ishii looked really worried. I can tell he really cares for my sister.

Lauren smiled at him.

"I'm feeling a lot better, though. The water was warm. Strange to say this, but taking a bath in a teacup was great." She said with a giggle.

Ishii smiled at that.

"Why don't you boys go as well?" Nadine said looking at Sam and Ishii. I guess she also meant me, but well, I don't think I can look at her straight in the eyes at the moment as well.

"We're fine." Ishii said, smiling at Nadine.

"No, you're not." Kiana piped in. "Nadz told me you and Sam bathe in leftover food earlier. You really should take a bath."

"I'd really like one." Sam said.

"Well, come on then." Kiana said, laying her hands down on the table once more.

Sam got on at once and Ishii followed suit.

"Come on, James!" Sam called to me when I still didn't move.

I just nodded and made my way to them. I was surprisesd when as I pass by Nadine, she spoke.

"Uhmm, be careful... with your injury." She said softly, though she still didn't look at me.

"Yeah." I just said and I hurried to Kiana's hand feeling hot around the neck and indescribably happy.

I think I saw Sam smirk in my direction but I ignored it.

Kiana placed us to the teacher's table, close to where Ryan and Jack were working.

Surely, there was a teacup set on there.

"I think the water's gone cold. I'll just replace it." Kiana said as she took the cup and poured the water onto the sink by the end of one of the laboratory table.

She then went back and poured a small amount of hot water from the thermos to the teacup, then she poured some tap water. After that, she took a bottle of shampoo I hadn't notice before, and put a drop of it in the water.
