Something changed.
Earlier I really felt so lost as to what to do. I'm quite thankful Lauren and Debbie got involved. Not that I don't trust Mike and Henz, but I think they were even more shocked than we who shrunk.
We were smiling again.
Something definitely changed in us.
And Nadine was smiling at me as well.
Yes, something definitely changed between the two of us. And I like it.
"So, what should we do first?" Nadine asked everyone at large.
"I'll go and call Kiana." Debbie said.
Sam looked sharply at her. "Now? Can't we try to go back to normal first??" He asked pleadingly.
Debbie frowned but it was Lauren who answered.
"Well, I think it'd be better if she knew soon. Besides, she can also help. We need all the help we can get." Lauren said gently.
"But the class is still going." Ishii pointed out. "You'd get in trouble if a teacher sees you cutting class."
There was a flicker of helplessness in Debbie's eyes.
"Why don't you text her, instead? Tell her to go here when the current teacher leaves." I suggested. That's the best I can think of. Kiana wouldn't be able to read the message at once since using cellphone during class is prohibited, but I'm sure she'll check her phone when the class is over. I know how Kiana worries. I mean, we constantly have discussions about 'parenting.' She worries when her dog started shedding. Imagine how worried she is now that Sam's nowhere to be found.
"I'll do that." Debbie said, accepting my suggestion and taking her phone out at once.
"I think we should also start with Henz's plan." Nadine said. "What do we do first?"
"Well..." Henz said. "When I took the copies of videos from the CCTVs last year, it was actually by accident... The room was open and no one was there so I took my chance..."
I looked at him in I don't know, but now he's saying this???
"So, what we need right now is luck." He finished.
I groaned.
"Uhm, Henz, I don't think we can call this day a 'lucky day.'" Ishii said.
I saw Sam looked at the larger boys with exasperation.
"Well, we have to try!" Mike said positively. "Our luck's been lousy since this morning, maybe it turned around now."
I heard Nadine sigh.
"Well, I guess we should try..." She said.
"How do we try? What will we do?" Lauren asked.
"Uhm, first we need to check the principal's office. I can do it." Henz said.
"I'll go with you." Mike offered.
"I'll stay here with them." Debbie said.
"I think it's better if we go back to the rooftop." Sam said.
I agree. It wouldn't be good to be caught here. All of the students and teachers go here. The rooftop, on the other hand, is mostly only visited by us. We just find it comfortable there. Plus there's no CCTV there.
"Okay, then we'll go there." Debbie agreed.
Lauren nodded. "Okay, we do that first."
"Mike, Henz, be careful." Nadine called out to them.
