A Little Change (JaDine SciFi/Comedy)

09 Sam's POV

Henz and Mike watched as the principal's computer lit up.

They waited as it booted.

The two panicked when the computer sounded as the OS starts.

But no one came.

And then, a blue image  flash in the screen.

'Password?'

"Huhh????"

Sam's POV

Oh the tension. I can feel it surrounding each of us.

Both James and Nadine were trying to act normal, but it is kinda useless since both their faces were flushed.

I looked up to the two girls when Debbie started talking.

She was trying to explain to Kiana what has happpened.

"Well..." Debbie started awkwardly. Well, I can understand. I mean, imagine saying to Tito Gary that I shrunk Kiana or something without sounding insane or causing panic... That would have been a feat. But I think Debbie shouldn't be too worried. Kiana is understanding. And Lauren and Nadine are right, she's strong. And besides, she'd already seen us.

"Well..." Debbie repeated and let out a big sigh. "Henz said that they were goofing around in the third lab earlier. He said there were inventions there. Sir Mauricio's. And that suddenly one of the invention, the 'Height Machine' as they call it, gone off and a sort of light hit them and they turned to this." Debbie finished, pointing at us.

"That's not what happened!" I said indignantly.

The two of them looked at me.

"It was Henz's fault! He accidentally pushed the button!" I said.

"He did??" Debbie said, with a flicker of annoyance and exasperation.

"What were you doing playing with the unknown inventions?" Kiana said with a scolding tone.

I kinda felt sheepish.

"Well..." I said, "Mike suggested that me and James use it so we can be a bit taller..." I really felt like a child caught stealing candy just then.

"Sam, you don't have to think about your height. You're fine the way you are." She said.

"I told Mike no!" I said, defensively. "I know I'm perfect the way I am!"

I was serious when I said that but I didn't mean to be narcistic or anything. I just believe that everyone is perfect without any modifications...

But it seems everyone took it as a joke and all laughed. I guess that's fine. It kinda lighten the mood. And I get to hear Kiana's twinkling laughed in surround sound.

I took a glance at James and Nadine. They too, were laughing. I caught them looked at each other but turned away just as fast, blushing like mad. I had to smirk. 

I heard Lauren's renewed giggle. Now she was looking at the two as well.

I was shocked when suddenly, water poured down Lauren, soaking her completely.

"Lauren!" Nadine called, shocked.

"What happened?" James said, worriedly.

There was another splash just besides us.
