Maylee
"Are you sure it's okay for me to be here?" I asked, looking at Justin's mansion. I turned my head and saw loads of paparazzi at the front gate snapping pictures, "I hope the paps don't turn this into something else."
Justin laughed to himself and I smacked his arm because I knew exactly what his dirty little mind was thinking, "Not like that!"
I just didn't want the media to think Justin and I were together, because we weren't.
Justin grabbed my hand and lead me toward the front door. He paused for a moment, thinking to himself. He looked at me, smiling as I sent him a confused look.
"I want to show you something."
Following him, we went around the house through the backyard gate. I didn't understand why he didn't lock this gate, anyone could sneak in. We walked into his backyard and I was amazed by the view. From the pool, you could see the giant hills and houses. Justin lived on the top of a hill which overlooked the rest of the city. It was beautiful.
"Wow..." I said in awe, absentmindedly following Justin hand in hand. I almost tripped over a lawn chair, but Justin had caught me in time.
"Careful." He chuckled, his white teeth shining. I grinned back, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear in embarrassment of my clumsiness.
Justin lead me over to the hammock and sat down, motioning for me to do the same. We both laid down, his arm under my neck. I wrapped my arms around his torso and turned to face him.
I stared into his eyes and I couldn't seem to look away. If it's one thing I've noticed is that people change but when you look into their eyes, you can see everything they've been through and everything they've experienced. Justin's hazel eyes never seemed to lose their shine, ever since I could remember.
"You're so beautiful."
I blinked a few times to make sure I wasn't day dreaming. Admit it, who doesn't day dream about Justin Bieber calling them beautiful.
"It's not good to lie." I looked away, unwrapping my arms from him. He stifled a laugh, sitting up with his legs crossed.
"You don't think you're beautiful?" Justin sounded sympathetic.
I slowly shook my head, looking away from him as I expected a long lecture about how not everybody cares about looks and appearances. I played with the ends of my braided hair, heaving a breath as both of us were quiet.
"Maylee?"
I faced Justin again and waited for what he was going to say. He glanced off into the distance for a moment, then back at me.
"Why don't you ever give yourself credit?"
"What do mean?" I asked, not really understanding his question.
He sighed as if he were annoyed at me asking him that. "You never think good of yourself. Everything you do is to please other people and I want you to notice that."
I bit the insides of my cheeks as he continued with his little speech, "I think you're the most beautiful girl in the world Maylee and I can't believe that you don't believe that."
