When I looked back to where the girl was, she was gone. A few minutes later Laken came back, looking somewhat miserable.

"Laken! I saw her eyes!"

"Y-you did? Cool! What did they look like?"

"When I looked into them, they looked like someone's I had seen before..."

"Huh... cool" Laken said, standing up, "I have to go."

"Laken wait whats wro-" but he was already out the door.

"Laken come back!" I yelled, chasing after him. Was it something I did? I half expected him to fly off but he stayed on the ground. I ran as fast as I could, but neither of us got any farther away.

"Please just leave me alone!" he cried.

"No, please, you're my only friend!"

"I don't deserve you!"

As he ran, feathers started falling off his wings to reveal a steel structure underneath. He started slowing down, until he collapsed.

"Laken!" I screamed, running towards him.

"Laken wh-whats g-going on!" I stuttered.

"I'm sorry..."

"For what!" I said, crying.

"For lying..." he said.

"Don't you leave me!" I said as he closed his eyes, "Don't you l-leave m-me..."
