Laken- I mean Hazel walked out of the doors. She (not he) was looking happier without the metal wings on, and without the costume on.
"I'm still sorry for lying to you... it's okay if you don't want to be my friend..." Hazel said, looking down and shuffling her feet.
"I don't want to be your friend," I frowned.
I then smiled, saying, "I think there's something more."
I walked up to Hazel, and her eyes widened.
"I love you."
And with those three words, our eyes met, and all the consent needed was there. We kissed. It was the most blissful feeling. I felt as if my heart was finally whole again. A burst of pure energy and love came from our hearts as we stayed together, and we both knew it was truely meant to be.
When we parted, we felt a new weight on our backs, along with the freedom of flight, and the knowledge that we both found our other halves.
Without stopping to think, we both soared into the air, still holding hands, in a beautiful flurry of color. Our wings were the biggest eithe rof us had ever seen, and were a beautiful shimmering iridescent white, that slightly changed co,or depending on how the sun glanced off of them. We flew up, high into the sky, feeling the wind blow across our faces as we laughed, and kissed, and laughed some more.
