~Matts POV~
I run through the halls of the quiet hospital trying to get to room 892 .
Nash and Cam race behind me, trying to get to our little girls bedside.
"It's a miracle. She revived twice!" A doctor whispers to another outside the room.
I push past them and stand in the door way.
Locking eyes with her.
I can't move. Can't speak.
I just smile.
Tears begin to fall, and she slightly moves her mouth.
"Jess.." Cam whispers, his voice cracking.
The three of us run to her, each holding apart of her body.
Thank you God. This is honestly the greatest thing that could happen to me.
My love coming back.
"God Jess..," I can hardly speak, "you don't understand what we've been going through."
A small tear rolls down her cheek.
'I'm sorry' she mouths, trying to speak.
"Jess don't be sorry. You fought and came back to us. Everything's okay now." Nash says, putting his forehead against hers.
Even though everything isn't okay.
Nothing will ever be the same.
"How long until she's alright?" Cam asks the doctor, wiping his wet cheeks.
"Give her about a week to be able to go home. But she won't be able to do much. She needs a lot of rest." He tells us.
I figured.
You can't die and all the sudden be okay. It takes time.
"JESS!?" Taylor runs into the room, face bright red.
Jess's eyes light up and Taylor runs to her. Giving her a warm hug.
"You don't know how glad I am to see those big brown eyes again." He whispers, a tear falling on her face.
Her mouth slightly moves into a smile.
God she's gorgeous. Even after she died.
I can't wait to hear her voice again.
It'll be like music to my ears.
Something I couldn't live without.
**
The boys all say what they want to say to her and eventually it's just me left.
"Hey babe" I say, sitting on the bed next to her.
She slowly moves her hand, reaching for mine.
Of course I take it.
"I was so scared Jess. I honestly didn't even know what to do with myself. Just-just looking at your lifeless body. It hurt.. I don't want to loose you," I look over at her teary eyed face, "not now. Not ever."
She softly squeezes my hand, cracking a little smile.
I wish she could speak.
I wish she hadn't "died"
Nothing's okay anymore. Life isn't like movies or story books. Life isn't fair like that. There aren't always happy endings. There aren't always nice people.
