Every fairy tale comes with the same warning: Good children should never go into the woods alone. Stray from the path and who knows what you'll encounter. A hungry wolf. A handsome devil. Or maybe something worse.

Today was the day. The day that Jughead and I would be starting Southside High. The day that I would be officially leaving Riverdale High. Jughead had left early this morning to meet with the 'gang' after Archie had texted him that something had happened. It took only minutes after Jug had left for me to find out on social media what had gone on last night. Moose and Midge had been shot and Moose was in the hospital. The killer strikes again.

I was stood, wearing a black tight skirt, converse and a white tank-top, covered by a denim jacket, outside of Southside High, waiting for Jughead. He was late. Every boy that walked past looked over me, and every girl that walked past me glared. It seemed that we wouldn't be getting the welcome I was used to. I would no longer live the school life of a popular girl. It was refreshing and terrifying all at once.

"I'm so sorry!" J called as he ran to my side, grabbing my hand and leading me pulling me inside the building.

"I would ask why you were late, but we have bigger things to focus on right now." I told him as we walked into the entrance hall of the school. There were queues of students lining up to go through metal detectors. I pushed Jughead to go first the moment we were at the front. The police man that was stood the other side had a bored expression, like this wasn't what he thought his job would entail. What concerned me more was that the school felt the need to have metal detectors before entering.

Jug went through and was met with an alarm. The officer looked less than impressed and raised his eyebrows.

"Hat J." I spoke up from behind the detector, the officer glaring at me as I said it.

"It's the pins on my hat." Jughead explained. From growing up with a dad that was in and out of jail, Jughead had experience with police officers and I knew he didn't like them. In school we are taught that we are young adult with responsibilities, but when we prove things to police, they brush it off as we are still 'children'.

"Take it off, go again." The man began to search through Jughead's bag as I looked down at myself, seeing if I had any metal on my person that would set off the detector.

On my black skirt, down the centre, were metal buttons. I knew that this would be an interesting conversation at I went through. I placed my bag on a tray, as instructed, and went through the machine. The security here was that of an airport or prison, not a school in a small town. As expected, the detector alarm rang. Jughead turned his head from speaking to a girl, to looking at me.

"It's the metal button on my skirt. Do you want me to take that off as well?" I crossed my arms and looked at the officer sassily. There was no way he could make me take off a skirt.

"Take it off. Go again." My eyes widened at his words and I saw some of the boys around us turn to look, wanting to know what the new girl was like. Every person in the school would know who the Blossom's are, and so they needed to know that I wasn't like my stuck up family that would just call their lawyer anytime anything didn't go there way.

"So you want a minor to take off her skirt for an officer of the law, with a crowded hall worth of witnesses. I think that would be detrimental at this point in your career." The man opened his mouth to speak, but I just moved past him, knowing that he couldn't do anything. Anyone who was watching either laughed at the embarrassment of the police man, or smiled in approval at my stunt.

"Cynthia Blossom. I'm Toni Topaz, and that, might I say, was amazing." The tanned girl had light brown hair, moving into pink. It made her stand out, but I thought that at this school, she would fit in just fine. She held a camera around her neck, and her outfit showed she was a strong who was not to be messed with.
