"I just don't see why I can't go home now." I say to Theo who's standing by the door of the hotel room. "We've been on the road for a month now with no incidents. They are probably over it."

"Just because nothing has happened yet, that does not mean they aren't still tailing us." I could feel the annoyance rolling off him in waves. "Besides, it is your fault. No one told your ass to be looking when they robbed the museum. All you had to do was hit the floor."

Is he really blaming me now?

The Victim.

"Yes, it's your fault. Notice how no one was taken but you." He looks over in my direction and has the audacity to scoff at my face. "All you had to do was hit the fucking floor, but no... you wanted to be nosy and keep your fucking head up."

"So...what do we do? Just joyride across the country, stopping at hotels and shit, until we get to the ocean or something." I say to him. He groans and throws his head against the wall.

I don't know why that makes me so angry because next thing I know a pillow flies from my hand in his direction. He catches it before it can land safely on his face. "What's the point, Theo?" I yell at him.

He takes a deep breath and his hands clench around it, almost as if it's me in his hands instead.

Did I mention he's had his eyes closed this entire time?

We don't mess with demons round here.

He suddenly pushes off the wall and turns in my direction. I duck covering my head thinking he's about to throw the pillow back at me, but instead I feel the bed dip.

Rough fingers suddenly clasp around my wrists and my arms are snatched from over my head. My chin is cupped and gently lifted up to face him. I fight the urge to pull away.

He doesn't look angry now, just tired.

"Trust me." His eyes peer deep into mine and I can't breathe. "Just trust me." He lightly swipes his thumb over my bottom lip, before letting me go and I'm able to breathe again. He gives me another lingering look before hopping off the bed. I don't miss the way his eyes quickly drop down to my lips.

"My lipgloss is popping, my lipgloss is cool."

"Where are you going?," I say as he picks his jacket up from the floor and gives it a little shake. "I'm not done talking to you yet!"

He slips on the jacket and grabs his keys off the desk in the corner of the room.

"I didn't think you were," He says walking to the door. "I'm pretty sure you're hungry, so I'll run to the store quickly."

"Lock this door and don't let anybody in, not even Erika and Mark, while I'm gone." He sternly says giving me a dark look. "Am I understood."

I know you fucking lying.....Who does he think he is?

"Yes, Sir." I say saluting him instead. He gives me a dirty look, but he finally leaves. I hop up and lock the door behind him.

Now, it's just the TV and I. Luckily this was a better hotel than the ones we were usually in, so they had cable.

I'm two episodes of 'Chrisley Knows Best' in when I hear knocking on the door.

I roll off the bed and skip to the door. I'm about to put some 'yummy in my tummy.'

My hand is a centimeter away from the doorknob, when I remember the fact that Theo has a key. There would be no reason for him to knock.

I slowly step back from the door, "Who is it?" and grab the pepper spray out of my bag. We'd stopped earlier that day and Theo got it for me.

"Who is it?" I repeated after no reply the first time.

I crept closer to the door trying to assess if there is a peephole anywhere on it and much to my luck there isn't.

"Room service." A gruff voice says finally.

I wonder did Theo order me something before he left, but he wouldn't have left then if he did.

I slowly turn the knob and peep out the door and sure enough there's a little dinner table with all the works.

"I think you have the wrong room. I didn't order anything." I say.

"Well, the call came from this room, ma'am ." He hasn't looked up once this whole exchange. Red flag one.

"Well....bring it in. I guess." That probably wasn't the wisest thing to say, but a bitch hungry.

I open the door all the way and let the man push it in. I would push it in myself, but a bitch has to use the bathroom.

"You can set it by the desk over there." I tell him and rush into the bathroom which is thankfully right by the door.

As I'm sitting on the toilet something hits me out of nowhere.

Then I remember, this hotel doesn't even have room service.

"Theo, do they have room service here?" I ask him as we settle into the room.

"You are always hungry!" I throw my sandal at him, but he dodges. "But no they do not have room service here, where do you think we are?"

"This is not a five star hotel." The other sandal. "I'm going to the store later anyway. Just tell me what you want."

"Oh Shit!"
