I woke up feeling my hair being stroked and combed and fluttered my eyes open to see Scatty running her fingers through my hair as I lay on her stomach. She smiles down at me and pats my head softly, "Morning sleepy head" She comments as I quickly get up and rub my eyes. I look to see it was afternoon and I look back at her with a worried expression. "And before you ask, no you didn't hurt me. It was soothing actually to know you were watching over me while I slept, well...as we slept." She chuckled slightly at her small comment and smiled. I smile lightly and nod seeing that her bruises were lightening up and she seemed in good health. I was glad she was ok and I was glad to sleep for that long, I really did need it apparently. I stand up and grab the, now melted, ice packs and head back into the kitchen to put them back into the freezer. I come back and see Scatty sitting up on the couch and she turns her head toward me and motions me to sit next to her by patting the spot next to her. I nod and make my way over to the couch and sit next to her and look at her curious.
"As I told you yesterday, I was gonna tell you everything. Well, everything that I know about your memories that you have told me yourself. First off, you should know now that Death is your adoptive father and Nat is your step-brother because of Death. He raised both of you, both in the slight of hand and trickery. As you already know, this is just another side of reality. A place where one's mind travels. You switch between both your world, and this one. Only a selected few are able to. Since I was born and raised on this side, I can't cross over to yours. But there are others from your side that do cross over. Such as Nat, he jumped over in his own accord. You did as well, I believe it was from looking through your grandpa's things? Anyways, your here now. And you can switch between both at any given time but remember, your body goes dormant over there when your here, and your body goes dormant over here when you leave." She says as I take in the information and try to process it. She waits a few moments before continuing to make sure I'm on the same track as her and I thank her for that. "For other things, i need to go over some of the memories or flash backs you've been having. You had the one when we were out on the mountain and i spoke of Hayate yes?" She said and i looked at her nodding, remembering the flash back.
"Alright, well Hayate is an elder, a supernatural being that helps keep the balance in the world. She is also known as the woman with three faces. She knows all time, since in the morning she is but a teenager, in the afternoon a grown adult, and by night an old woman. She protected the Yggdrasil before a very evil man called Dr. John Dee destroyed it with one of the elemental swords. That story is for another time, it might be soon, haven't decided yet. Anyways, she told me you had great potential. I brought you under my wing and trained you in the proper ways of sword fighting and battle strategies. What else am i missing? Oh right, the book. Now there is a man named Abraham the Mage. The first ever known and powerful wizard in this world. He created the Codex, a magical book that holds every known spell, enchantment, piece of magic in this very world. That book is out there, god knows where. My mission for the past years is to keep the hands of evil off of the binds of that book. A man named Nicholas Flamel has kept it safe and protected all this time. Another great magic wielder to this day." She says and stops and looks at me as my eyes are practically loading circles as i try to process everything she was saying. I look at her and she chuckles and nods.
"I think that's enough information for one day. I wanna show you some things you can do." She says getting up and headed out to the backyard. I get up as well and follow her out. 'Codex? Elders? Elemental swords? I'm gonna have to read up more into this stuff.' I think to myself as she goes to the weapons rack and pulls out two staffs and throws one at me. I grab it and look at her. "Now, time for some real fun my friend." She replies with a devilish smirk. Things are about to get interesting.
