I feel the sun rays heat up the skin on my face as it brings me awake. I feel the other side of the bed for Kaito but he wasn't there. I turn my full attention to the room to see if Kaito was here till I hear the shower being turned on in the bathroom and I figured it was him.

I get up and stretch my arms enjoying the warmth. I pull a blanket off a chair wrapping it around myself and go to the window. I look over the land that spread out before the house, a cliff with a faint view of the ocean behind it. I hear the shower shut off and rustling in the bathroom. I keep my back to the bathroom door looking outside waiting for him to get dressed.

I hear his footsteps behind me and wrap around my waist. "Your turn," He whispered into my ear before kissing the side of my neck and walked off. I feel my cheeks turn bright red from his words and touch. I turn toward the bathroom and walked inside, closing the door behind me. I quickly strip off my clothes and jump into the shower. The feeling of his lips on my neck gave me chills. How can one man get such a reaction out of me? I turn the shower on and wait for the water to warm up, which didn't take that long. I put my hand under the faucet of the tub and step in when I agree with the temperature.

The water fills my locks till their wet and cascades down my body. The warmth soothes my head and the thoughts I was thinking before I stepped into the tub. I wash my hair and my body before turning off the water and wrapping a towel around my body.

I peek outside the bathroom door to see where Kaito was but I didn't see him so I walked into the room toward the dresser to find some new clothes. I let the towel fall to the floor as I slip on my undergarments and cover my bare body in a nice summer white dress that ended at my knees. It wasn't my style in clothing but it was something that fit so I had to go with it.

I open the door to our room and check the hallway to see if I saw or heard anything. I smelled bacon and eggs coming from the kitchen and figured my mom was making breakfast.

Two boiled eggs and cinnamon toast. 'I liked this kind of stuff? Have to make a note of that.' I think as I sit down and start eating, enjoying the food. I clean the plate in the sink when my mother comes out with damp hair and new clothes on. "You ready kiddo?" She asks and I nod hesitantly and I grab the backpack.

A flashback appears and I shake my head. "That was when my real side mom made breakfast," I murmur to myself and smile as the memory comes back to me. 'I hadn't lost my memory then but that was when I was completely clueless,' I think to myself and keep heading to the source of the smell.

I pass the hallway and into the kitchen to see Kaito and my mom lovingly chatting away while drinking coffee. My father walks in and gives him a glare before going to the coffee pot. I notice Kaito didn't have his cloak on and quickly rush to the coat hanger and put it on his shoulders before my father noticed.

I bend down and whisper into Kaito's ear, "You need to keep this on," I insisted and he nodded agreeing with me. My father turns back around with his mug and blows the steam off the top. "Well you both will be joining me and my guards on the way to the castle. Once I finish my breakfast we're heading out," He announces before sitting down at his rightful place at the head of the table and eats his breakfast while I sit at the opposite end and eat mine.

Kaito and my mother continue their previous conversation while my father and I made awkward eye contact. "You've certainly have grown into a beautiful woman my darling, I can't wait to see you become heir to the throne," He says casually as I try not to choke on my orange juice, or at least it tasted like orange juice.

I clear my throat before speaking and look up at him. "Did you say heir to the throne?" I tried to clarify as I look over at Kaito which also had a look of confusion. "Yes I did, and you will be appointed it soon I would hope," He adds while I try to keep my composure.

"I surely can't take the throne now, not when I don't hav- I mean don't know any of the people in the kingdom," I stuttered trying not to give away that I was still looking for my memories. "We can introduce you to the people that's an easy problem to fix plus I'm sure they'll love you," He reasons and stands up holding his clean plate and puts it in the sink.

I take mine as well placing it on top of his in the sink. "Let's get going then," he practically commands and storms toward the door, Kaito and I in hot pursuit. The guards are standing outside the house with horses ready for each of us to ride while my father saddles the biggest one there was. Kaito got the black one while I got on top of the white one.

The guards rode behind us to protect us while we rode in the front watching the view while the horses followed my father. We rode for hours and my bum was turning numb when a massive castle came into view when we reached the top of a large hillside.

"Welcome home Mavis,"
