Agents of Shield surrounded the god of mischief by the dozens. They were all armed and armoured. They marched in perfect union to each other, guns positioned at their chests, fingers resting on the body ready to pull the trigger should the god do something out of place. From the moment the quinjet landed on the helicarrier they flocked to him. And for someone like Loki, he took it as a compliment but was offended there wasn't more.
At the head of them, Sigyn is escorted by two agents as they lead the way through the corridor of the helicarrier. They didn't completely trust her. Is she working with Loki? Until they can prove it otherwise, Nick Fury cannot take that risk.
They passed by a laboratory where a man is working inside. The windows gave a quick view to the working stations. He lifts his head as the soldiers march on by. The white-haired goddess quickly glanced at Bruce Banner and gave him no second thought. Loki's eyes matched with Bruce's and he smiled at him as he strode on by.
Strange, thought Bruce. He took his glasses from his nose and rubbed the space there suddenly conscious of them.
Sigyn and Loki are brought into a chamber where a large round room is supported by hydraulic rigs. The agents kept Sigyn to the side as they guided Loki up the ramp and into the round cell. They uncuffed him, guns pointed, left the cell and then closed the door. It sealed together with a gasp of air and a soft click, and the chamber was now alive.
Nick Fury is also there. "Out of respect, Sigyn, for what you have done and our history together." he said. "I won't lock you up. But I do ask that you now leave this room and join everyone else on the bridge. I will be there shortly."
The goddess gave a curt nod and was escorted out.
"In case it's unclear." Fury told Loki, once the room was clear, walking over to a control panel. "If you so much as scratch that glass..." Fury presses a button which opens up a hatch underneath the cell. Loki tries to peer out from the glass as much as he can, just by the sounds of the gushing winds would make any man terrified, but it didn't seem to faze either of him. "Thirty thousand feet, straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works?!" Fury closes the hatch and points towards Loki, "Ant." and then he points to the control panel, "Boot."
Loki chuckled, quipping a smirk. "It's an impressive cage, not built, I think, for me."
"Built for something a lot stronger than you." Fury replied.
"Oh, I've heard." Loki looks directly at the camera in his cell. "The mindless beast makes play he's still a man. How desperate are you, that you call upon such lost creatures to defend you? And how dare you drag my lovely wife into all of this."
"How desperate am I? You threaten my world with war. You steal a force you can't hope to control. You talk about peace and you kill 'cause it's fun. You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did." Fury walks towards the cell. "And your wife?" he chuckled. "Made her own choices. Think on that."
"Ooh." Loki hisses, his green eyes staring intently into Fury's dark eyes. "It burns you to have come so close. To have the Tesseract, to have power, unlimited power. And for what? A warm light for all mankind to share, and then to be reminded what real power is."
Fury kept his glare on Loki for a few lingering seconds before turning away, "Let me know if real power wants a magazine or something?" Fury walks away, leaving Loki in his cell, who turns at the camera and smirks.
Nick Fury steps out of the chamber to meet with Sigyn as he ordered the soldiers to keep her waiting outside. "So." he said. She turned her eyes away visibly upset and ready to cry. "There are some questions I need to ask. You know the drill."
