HijiChi Prompt - Hope and Despair

A/N: This is a quick short thing for HijiChi event, written in a way which I haven't tried in a long while so sorry if it gets a bit ooc, but I hope you enjoy it anyways!

~~~
The battle was heated, canon fire was continuously being shot into the battle field. The gun shoots rattled in my ears and all I knew was that I must fight. I will fight even if I die today in this battle field. I would have faught honourably as a Samurai after all, serving the Shinsengumi until my dying breath. However, there was no way I'd die yet, not while I am a fury. I have strength to fight more battles I'm sure of it. To hell if I'd die today. I don't care. I'm fighting for what I believe in and that's all that matters.
I cut down one soldier after another, wounded from gunshots which then instantly heal up again. I quickly gaze through the smoke from gun fire to see where the battle is headed next. I cut down a few more soldiers and pause. Something in the corner of my eye catches my attention. Heck, there was no way. Maybe I was hearing things. There was no way that girl, Yukimura, would be here. Although this can't be true, I could feel hope rising in my chest. When I left her, it left a hole in my heart. I felt like I was missing something. Of course, only recently noticed what I was missing. I was in despair. She wasn't by my side anymore. I don't believe that it's her. It can't be, but I'm now hearing voices. As I cut down enemy after enemy I can feel hope rising. No! She can't be here it's impossible. She should be back in Edo.
Finally, I hear a bang and turn my head. Loud and clear I can hear my name being called now. "Yukimura!" I shout, and start rushing to her. My heart hopes it was her. Her calling my name, but the explosion. My heart sinks in despair, she was okay right? She hasn't been harmed. I know she is a tough Edo woman and an Oni. She will be fine. I kneel down beside her, pick her up and carry her off to to a safe place where I hope she'll wake up and in my heart, I hope she says the words I want to her from her, even if my heart is torn about her being here on a battle field.
Bonus: (A/N: Just a few lines I only got to together for a HijiChi Haikyu prompt)
"You better have a good explanation for this." Hijikata shouted angrily.
"Don't be so angry, Hijikata-san~ Your poems which were on that page, I can re-sight them if you want to write them down again." Souji hummed.
"Souji, this is your fault." Hijikata hissed, turning on him. "Why the hell did you take my thing in the first place!?"
