Detention [RIVERDALE]

Chapter 2

CHERYLS POV

 The room was silent, it was quite awkward. before anyone could say anything Principal Weatherbee came back in.

"I forgot to tell you about the rules," he said looking at all of us, especially Jughead. he pulled out a notebook with the words 'DETENTION RULES' on it in big bold writing. 

"Rule 1: no talking," he said walking around the library by the desks. 

"Rule 2: never move out of these seats," he said walking by Jughead's desk and stopping as he said it.

 "Rule 3: you can only eat at lunch, lunch is at 12:00." He finished passing by mine and Toni's desk.

 He walked closer to Jughead's desk and looked at him directly in the eye. "No sneaking in food!" He said to him. Jughead rolled his eyes and slumped back in his seat.

"Good." Weatherbee finally said before leaving the room for good.

I looked behind me to see everyone.

 Toni was next to me and she was doing a sketch or some drawing. 

Archie was playing with a tennis ball that he was throwing up into the air and catching it. 

Veronica was on her extra phone that she has. Typical Veronica.

Kevin was reading some dumb book, what a nerd.

Josie was looking at the book Kevin was looking at.

Jughead was tapping a pencil on the desk looking to see what everyone was doing.

Betty was looking behind her, obviously annoyed by Jughead tapping the pencil.

So basically, I'm stuck in the school library on a hot sunny Saturday with a bunch of dweebs along with Betty and Toni.

Great.

Just great.

ARCHIE'S POV

I stopped playing with the ball because I was distracted by Jughead tapping a pencil on his desk.

"Can you stop? It's really irritating!" I said looking at him.

He stopped and looked at me dead in the eye. I'm not going to lie, his glare was pretty scary sometimes. 

"No, your just going to have to deal with it." He said glaring at me tapping the pencil once again.

Betty turned to both if us, "rule 1, no talking!" She said quoting Mr. Weatherbee.

"Fuck rules." Said Jughead to Betty. She was taken back by his language and not happy.

"You can't swear in school!" She argued at Jughead. Almost everyone in the library was watching this happen.

Jughead and Betty had an odd relationship. They both disliked each other and where annoyed by each others presence but Jughead doesn't do anything to her. For example, one time, Kevin got into a fight with Jughead and he vandalised his dad's car (the sheriff), burned all his study books and spray painted 'GAY LORD' on his locker. But, when Jughead and Betty get into fights, he doesn't do anything no matter how bad it was. He has done something to everyone except Betty. Nobody ever notices though, they're too focused on what he's going to do next or when I next go to the gym so all the girls can see me topless.

"Who says so?" Jughead inquired getting annoyed whilst everyone watched intently, not making it obvious.

"Hmm, let's see, Weatherbee, the teachers, students, your parents." Said Betty giving him attitude.

"Well guess what? Fuck all them too!" Jughead said looking into her sparkling green eyes.

Betty scoffed and turned around noticing everyone in the room looking at them.

Something tells me this won't be the last time we get an argument from them...
