Chapter 3 | Meet Him

"Mom naman! Please don't do this to me! Kaya naman magbago ni Abbie eh. Please Mom let her prove herself to you! Don't do this to us mom!" Sabi ko. I was pleading and begging to her. She can't just marry me to someone I don't know! "Rence, we have decided. And that is final. I don't trust that Abbie. I gave her second chances. Pero she failed me. Why do you like that girl?! Wala syang respeto. At isa pa, sa bar mo lang sya nakilala. Rence naman! She's so indecent! Pera lang ang habol nya sayo! At isa pa, ang anak ng Tita Emma mo ang bagay sayo. So shut up and be ready. Sa Sunday na ang kasal." sagot ng Mom ko. "Ma! Don't say that! Hindi ko siya hihiwalayan just for that crazy marriage! Hindi ako papayag!" sagot ko. "Im your mom Terrence Valmonte! And I know what's right for you. Break up with that filthy girl." sabi ni Mom sabay walkout. Ugh sh*t! Why are they doing this to me?! Pumunta ako sa kwarto ko at nagbihis. Im gonna freaking drink this f*ck up.

Pagdating ko sa bar ng bestfriend ko, pumwesto ako sa stool. Agad naman sya lumapit para batiin ako. "Hey dude! What's up?" sabi niya sabay pat sa balikat ko. His name is Kim. Manager sya sa Jollibee at may ari ng isa sa mga sikat na bar sa lugar namin. "Dude, my life is a mess. Im fcking messed up! Two bottles please." sabi ko. "Woah easy dude. What's wrong?" sabi nya habang kumukuha ng alak. "Dude, my parents, they're insane! F*ck dude! Ipapakasal na nila ako! This sunday!" reklamo ko sabay inom ng alak. "What?! Dude, paano na si Abbie?!" he shouted with a shocked face. As expected from my best bud. "Yun na nga bro. Di ko alam kung paano ko sasabihin sa kanya. I love her too much. I can't just hurt her like this." I said.

I don't know what came to my parents' mind. Im 19. And attending college. Hindi pa ako handang ikasal. At kung ikakasal ako ngayon, I want it to be with Abbie. Not a strange girl from somewhere. "So, are you gonna tell her?" tanong ni Kim. "Ugh, dude ewan ko. I don't know how to tell her. Ahhh sh*t! I think I can't tell Abbie that st---" napatigil ako dahil may nagsalita sa likod ko ng, "Tell me what Rence?" si Abbie yon. Oh sh*t. Im so dead. Nagkatinginan lang kami ni Kim. "Excuse me. Hehe." sabi ni Kim. Takasan daw ba ako. What kind of friend is he? Srsly. "Uhh, Abbie it's.. Please don't be mad at me. I love you. I really really love you.. But, my parents wants me to get married." I don't know where I got the guts to say that. "What? But.. Why?" sabi nya. She was teary eyed. "Abbie, my parents doesn't like you. And, gusto nilang mag hiwalay tayo. But Abbie, I won't let that happen I--" pinutol na agad yung sasabihin ko. "No buts, Rence. Break na tayo!" sabi nya sabay hubad ng ring na binigay ko nung 1st anniversary namin.

Umalis si Abbie. Break na kami. I can't let this happen. I don't want her to get out of my life. I love her so much. And I know she loves me too. "Kim, 10 bottles please." sabi ko habang nakayuko. I have to do this. Just this night. "Pre, grabe naman. Hindi mo matatakasan yan gamit ang alchohol. Dude, Im your friend. And sorry, no alchohol." sabi nya. "Kim! Please ngayon lang." sabi ko. I heard him sighed. "Okay fine! But only 5 bottles! Ayokong ihatid ka ng gegewang gewang sa inyo."

I guess alam nyo na ang sunod na nangyari. F*ck this life. Im gonna be married in freaking three days without knowing who the girl is. Kung sino man sya, she's dead meat. Im gonna kill her. Sya ang dahilan kung bakit kami naghiwalay ni Abbie. Im gonna make her life miserable. Anyway, Im Terrence Valmonte. Soon to be married with an unknown alien girl.
