Thomas was bored. Like, really bored.
His grandparents were not home, they wouldn't be home before Sunday afternoon, which would be two days from now.
Thomas took a walk around the house while talking to Teresa on the phone.
"Teresa, you know I'm not allowed to go inside that door." Thomas said while opening the door to a guest bedroom, just to make sure there weren't ghosts there.
"But Tom!! This is you chance! I want to know what's beyond that door!"
Teresa had argued with Thomas for ten minutes, because she wanted to know what was behind the "restricted" door in Thomas' house.
"Teresa! I won't do it!" Thomas said while closing the door to the guest bedroom, and he started to walk to the living room.
"Come on Thomas!" Teresa sighed through the phone. "I know you want to know what's behind that door as much as I do."
Thomas stayed quiet for a momentas he sat down on the couch. "But what if there is something that wasn't meant to be seen, you know what I mean, T?"
"Only one way to find out." Was Teresa's answer.
"Goodbye Teresa." Thomas said, and hang up.
Thomas breathed in and out for a few minutes. He was going to do this. Break the rules, and walk in that door.
Thomas slowly got up from his seat. He walked in slow motion to the door in the end of the hallway.
He layed his hand on the doorhandle, and pushed it downwards.
The door squeaked when Thomas pushed it open.
Thomas almost got disappointed when he saw the room.
The walls were painted pale white, and there was no light, except the light from a window Thomas never knew was there.
The only thing in the room was a mirror.
A beautiful mirror.
It was normal, with the frame painted in black patterns. Thomas had no clue why someone would hide this.
Wait. His grandfather had mentioned a quote inside the room. Thomas found the quote painted in beautiful, black letters right over the mirror.
Thomas remembered his grandfather telling him not to say the quote. Well, his grandfather wasn't here now, was he?
Thomas cleared his throat, before saying the quote out loud. "Mirror, mirror, on the wall. Show me the other side of the glass, so I can see the truth of us all." Thomas said.
At first it didn't happen anything. And then, the mirror showed a grey wall.

After a long day at school, Newt relaxed on his bed back in Charlotte.
He was tired after Minho's constant flirting with Trina at school when he saw her.
And, yeah, he was basically just tired of school.
He started humming a low tone in his grey painted bedroom. He kept humming for a while.
The only time he stopped humming, was when the rumbling started.
Newt looked at his stomach. Was he hungry? No, he wasn't.
He then looked to his left where the mirror was.
Newt now understood that the rumbling came from the mirror, not his stomach.
Newt gasped. Why would the mirror make sound?
He walked from his bed until he was in front of the mirror. But only one thing was on Newt's mind.
The quote.
The quote right over the mirror was glowing white, blinking over and over.
Newt was shocked. Perhaps this was the right time to say the quote.
"Dear mirror, show me the way, so I can be happy again." Newt said slowly.
As Newt had said the quote, he was thrown back by some kind of unnatural powers.
"That was not cool." Newt whispered, as the mirror started to get foggy.
Newt couldn't move. He only watched as the mirror got foggy, and cleared up again.
Newt walked to the mirror.
It was showing a wall, and a boy. Like usual mirrors do when you stand in front of it.
But this time, the wall was not Newt's. And the boy was anyone but Newt.
