A knock on a cabin door was all it took. Ma looked at me as we were cooking for pa and lily. I always loved to help in the kitchen. It puts a smile on my face knowing Ma and Pa enjoyed our cooking. The knock sounded once more. I stopped what I was doing. "I got it Ma," I say before she thinks to open the door. I opened it and three soldiers stand at our door. "Is you ma home kid?" The tall one asks. I Nod. "Ma there are soldiers at the door for you!!!" I yelled.

Ma walks out of the kitchen with a wooden spoon and bops me on the head with it. "There's no need for all that yelling Baldur" she scolded only making me grin. Lily was playing with her building blocks and she crawled towards me. "Hey, Baba." I greeted picking her up. I kissed her all over the face and sat on the couch with Ma.

Lily sat on my lap and played with my hair and cheeks. Distracting herself. "There have been reports of Witches in the area and the people of the town are pointing towards your home. More specifically your son" says the guard. My mom and I looked at each other. "Well sire, I beg your pardon. But for me, my son nor husband, has not partaken in such activity. Pa walks in holding firewood and lily squeals in delight. "Baba baba," she said reaching for him. "Traitor," I told her. Only getting giggles in return. Pa looks at the guards standing above Ma. "it'll be heavily appreciated if you would leave my home, you are disrupting family time." said Pa. His glare made the guards tense. "Sir you have to understand-" before the guard could speak more Pa walked to the guard and picked him up by his neck and gently set him outside. the other two guards drew their swords and I escaped to my room. I open the floorboards as my heart began thumping in my ears. I don't know if it was fear but I began to shake and take out my sword.

Quickly getting ahold of myself, I take the swords and rush out. Seeing what had happened during the few seconds I was gone. Ma was held with a sword to her neck and Pa held his sword at another guard. I quietly move next to Ma and kick the guard from under his feet. Ma grabbed lily and Ran out the door.

I let out a breath. Thank the heavens.

My father began to attack the guard and the tallest one I dealt with was standing up. "You'll pay for that, Brat." He spat. I glared at him.

He swung his sword at me causing me to parry with my own. I used my feet to my advantage by kicking him back.

He stumbled and I took the chance and swung for his neck causing him to block. I was sent back by the other guard only for me to stab him. He was surprised and held his wound. Before I got the chance to raise my sword. Pa slit his throat causing him to bleed out. I spun around quickly but didn't catch the guard swinging his sword grazing my cheek. "Bastard" I cursed. Raising my sword I sent attacks at him only to be blocked. The guard catches my sword in his hand and uses the hilt of his to knock me out.
