The raindrops hitting the roofs were an echoed sound that resonated through the dorm halls. For some, it was a soothing sound that could lull them to sleep, but for you, now that's a different story.

You were quite agitated with the pitter patter of the tiny droplets of water splattering against the roof. It most certainly did not lull you to sleep It did quite the opposite. It kept you up all night, pulling you away from the sleep abyss that your mind and body wanted to get pulled into.

You closed your eyes hoping that you would eventually fall asleep, but the only thing that invaded your mind was the sound of the rainfall. You abruptly got up from your bed and headed downstairs into the commons room. Hopefully, a glass of milk would help you with your insomnia.

As you arrived downstairs you saw Tokoymai sitting on the couch in the dark.

"Tokoyami,? You questioned as you saw your bird like boyfriend sitting there with his arms crossed.

He opened his eyes and looked at you, "Why are you awake?" He asked. "I can ask you the same thing," you replied back. "You first," He said.

"The rain kept me up," you sighed as you sat next to him on the couch with your head leaning on his shoulder. "And you?" You asked.

"The rain as well," He replied as he put his arm around you bringing you closer to him. You snuggled closer to him and slowly drifted off into the peaceful abyss that encased you.

Short chapter I just came back from a weekend at my aunt's and I didn't bring my laptop.
