Gang/Yakuza AU
––––
Momo quickly pushed you into class 1-A, the only class that was filled with Yakuza members, she was shocked to see that you were placed in this class.
Class 1-A dealt with the kids that were apart of the Yakuza life and helped them, or to say, tolerate them. There is no teacher for this class only a recorded video that taught you lessons but everybody ignores it and does their own thing.
It baffled Momo that you were put into this class, as far as she knows, you were not associated with anything Yakuza related.
You and Momo sat at the back corner of the room, your mind still clouded with him, somehow, you didn't know how, but he somehow seemed familiar to you. Like you met him before, you looked through each filing cabinet you had in your head trying to dig through your memories to find him in there. But there was none.
"–/n)... (Y/n) are you listening to me?" Momo vigorously shook your shoulders, bringing you back to earth from your thoughts.
"Yeah?" You asked as your full attention was now on the black haired female.
"Listen, you shouldn't mess with the group of people you saw this morning. They're... Not safe and I don't want you getting caught up with them." She explained as she looked at you seriously. Whenever Momo gives you the look you know it's something serious and you should listen.
"What do you mean 'Not safe'?" You asked her.
She sighed, "This town isn't what it seems, it's run by four yakuza groups. The North, East, South, and West. The cruellest of them is the South and West so promise me if you run into one of the gang members, run and don't look back. The yakuza here are dangerous, they carry weapons like guns and bombs so, please don't get into trouble." Momo said while holding your hands tightly.
Your eyes widened slightly as they go back to a neutral face, "Aye aye captain," You solute her and grin. "(Y/n) I'm serious!" She pressed on, "Ok, ok, don't worry about me, my dad is a professional martial art fighter, I've learned a lot from him. So if danger comes I'll kick Its ass."
Momo looked at you with a deadpanned face, "They have guns."
"Grandpa is a weapons nerd and I've learned how to use a lot of guns and weapons from him. Also, I've heard all his boring lectures about guns so I know quite a lot." You say nonchalantly.
She sighed once again, "J-just please don't get into trouble, that's is all I ask of you," She pleads.
"Fine, promise," You would try to stay out of trouble, but you can't promise that trouble won't come knocking on your door.
The bell goes off signifying that class is about to start, only a few people walked through the doors and the people that did were Yakuza members. They all slightly glared at you and smiled at Momo while she secretly smiled back.
You were an observer, you observed your surroundings when your mind is clear, and the little interaction that Momo just had was not normal for someone saying to stay away from the Yakuza. She seemed all friendly and close with them.
"Huh. Interesting," You thought in your head as you would interrogate her later about this.
The next person that walked through the door was none other than the ash blonde, his eyes widened a bit with confusion when he saw you but instantly turned into a glare. A few more gang members followed after when he showed up.
Once again his heterochromatic eyes that were covered with a layer of stiff ice made their ways to your figure. You wanted to know more about him, what he's hiding, the secrets his eyes hold. You wanted to comfort him because the barely visible cracks in his soul that are hidden behind so many layers of ice, showed he was broken and never healed,
and you wanted to heal him.
You remember the last time you came here, you were 7 and your grandmother had just passed away. Your mom and dad ended up getting into a big fight and left you sad and frustrated. You remember running to a forest and bumping into a boy your age crying. All you remember of him was, he had a bandage wrapped around half of his face.
That's all you remember.
He sat down with three other people in the back row on the other side. Beside him was a messy green haired boy with green eyes and freckled cheeks, now he did not look intimidating at all, he looked like a ray of sunshine. On the other side was a tall guy with blue hair and glasses, he looked a bit intimidating with his strict look.
Some of the strawberries talked with the vanilla beans, that's what you called the white bandana group. You were a bit confused as you thought the two groups were rivals as they had different bandanas.
"Momo, what side are they from?" You asked her as you pointed to the strawberries and the vanilla beans.
"The red bandana people are from the North Side, their leader is the ash blonde, Katsuki Bakugou." She pointed to the ash blonde who was busy scowling at the yellow-haired guy, as the redhead calmed him down. "The white bandana people are from the East Side, their leade is the heterochromatic guy, Shouto Todoroki. The two gangs are an alliance gang, they work together against the South Side and West Side. In a sense, they're the good guys, but they still kill people, bad people." She finished.
You didn't pay any mind to most of the things she said, what struck you was the name. "Shouto Todoroki," You whispered under your breath only audible to you. You nodded when she was done.
Class was boring as the video audio would get tuned out because of the people screaming and making a ruckus, you could've sworn somebody brought alcohol.
When the bell finally rang for lunch you and Momo split ways, she went to grab a table in the cafeteria and you went to the bathroom. The hallways were all cleared now that everybody left for the cafeteria, you open the door to the bathroom and you see him.
He was standing against a wall with his arms and legs crossed, his head was slightly angled downwards and his eyes were closed, his face had a stoic look.
You stood there shocked a) because he was in the females bathroom or you were greatly mistaken and walked into the wrong bathroom, but the tampon machine proved you were in the right place. b) because Momo told you he was in a Yakuza gang and he was the flipping leader.
His head moved up and his cold eyes stared right into your (E/c) ones.
"I-uh... I think I'm in the wrong place... Excuse me..." You awkwardly turn and try to leave the bathroom before his monotonous icy voice cuts you off.
"Stay." He said–no more like commanded. You froze and slowly turned around and faced him.
There was a long pause where you were tempted to awkwardly clear your throat but thought against it.
"Its been a while." His previous icy voice was melted as his monotonous voice stayed.
You looked at him with a confused expression, you had no idea what he was talking about, "B-been a while?" You softly asked.
He sensed your confusion as a glint of sadness broke through his eyes for a second, only to be covered up by another thicker layer of ice. He pushed himself off of the wall and walked towards you.
He was now directly in front of you, he lowered his head to your ear, "Come see me when you've remembered, I'll always be here." His monotonous voice was soothing before it turned cold. He gently patted your head and left, as he left the cold air surrounding the room left as well.
But why did you miss that cold air all of a sudden?
