12| I missed you

A/n: Thank you for all the support and welcome new readers! Also I'm writing on my phone so sorry if it looks bad😂

Taylor pov:
The judge told us to return tomorrow morning for another hearing. Addie was sitting in my lap and her dad was in another room talking with child services.

"I missed you Taylor." Addie said making a huge smile appear on my face

"I missed you too Addison" I said

She sat up and looked into my eyes, and smiled really big.

"You and Joe and Meredith and Olivia are the best family I've ever had," Addie said which broke my heart "My daddy always made me feel safe but when he would leave mummy would scream, yell, or hit me. But I guess I deserved it sometimes." Addie said resting her head on my shoulder

"Addison you listen to me," I told her and she looked up at me

"You never once did anything wrong your mummy just wasn't in the right mindset without your daddy." I said to her and she gave me a kiss on the cheek and a big hug

"I wish you were my mummy" Addison said that and it made me tear up a bit

After a while my attorney and Addison's dads attorney came in and we discussed what is going to happen for the next 24 hours at least. They found a family that they know for sure will take good care of her for the night.

*The next day*

I arrived at the building and walked into the elevator, I felt my anxiety rise as the elevator neared the floor I was going to. When the elevator stopped I walked to reception and she led me to the court room. The judge started after a few minutes and one of Addison's foster parents spoke first

"Addison is such a sweet little girl once she warms up to you, it was incredibly hard to get her to bed last night as all she wanted was Taylor. This morning when she woke up she asked how many minutes until she sees Taylor."

Her foster mum spoke which made me smile

"I know this decision isn't up to me but I believe Ms. Swift would take such amazing care of Addison." She said and got off the stand.

A few more people spoke on behalf of Addison and they brought her to the stand. She saw me and immediately ran to me.

"Go back up there baby girl" I told her and she refused. I picked her up and sat in the stand with her on my lap.

"Addie I'm Officer Pete," He said smiling at her and waved. "Could you tell us a bit about your mummy?" He said

Addie thought for a moment then spoke "Well, um. When daddy was there mummy is always nice to me but when he leaves she used his belts to hit me." Addison said "She would yell at me if I got food too" Addie said and I gave her a little hug
