Okay. When I become a famous, well know writer *flips hair* I am going to need deadlines and an assistant to help me stay true to when I'll have things done. Forgive me for being awful at being organized. I’ll give myself two weeks for each new chapter and if I don’t update by then, then I will….. You guys can punish me somehow. ANYWAAAY I hope you all are enjoying my story. I’m actually trying here.

GUESS WHAT!? Only two months and six days until IT comes out.. UNTIL THE MAZE RUNNER COMES OUT AND WE CAN ALL LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!! Okay so ENJOOOOOOOOY!

Disclaimer: Do I have to keep admitting this? I DO NOT OWN THE MAZE RUNNER OR ANY OF ITS CHARACTERS AND SADLY THAT INCLUDES THE ONE AND ONLY WONDERFUL MINHO :D

Beep beep beep! I slammed my hand down on my alarm clock, searching desperately for the off button. Hitting it multiple times, I knew I had to get up or else I would fall asleep and be late.

I slowly sat up, yawning when I was stuck in an upright position. I literally couldn’t move. Unless I was going backwards. On my bed. To sleep. Forever.

Finally, I got out of bed, put on my glasses and headed downstairs to start my usual morning routine. I normally just eat breakfast, pack a lunch, put in contacts, fiddle with my hair, put on eyeliner, change, and get all of my stuff together. It takes forever for me to do all that, though. I’m just too slow and sleepy. And I hate taking showers in the morning so I can’t wake myself up or whatever with one. Oh well. Just means that I have to get up earlier, anyway.

Shoving my last book into my bag, I zipped it up and checked the time.

“Savannah should be here soon…” I thought 30 seconds before my friend did pull up in front of my house. I opened the front door as Savannah greeted me and opened the door to the passenger side.

“Heyyy Liv, what’s up gurl,” my friend said in her cheerful tone.

“Hi and oh, you know, hating the world for making me get up earlier than at the very least, 9 o’clock.” I retorted back.

She shrugged, “Mornings do suck, but at least it’s Friday.”

“Yeah true.”

The rest of the ride to school was silent, except for Savannah humming along with songs on the radio.

Once we were pared, I got out and said bye to my friend and promised to see her in 4th period before she ran off with her boyfriend.

I made my way to my locker, getting bumped, elbowed and pointed at me as I walked with my head down. Subconsciously, I tugged at the sleeves of my warm jacket. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. What if my sleeves slipped down and someone saw my cuts? How would they react? Would they think I’m some weird emo chick that cuts herself for attention? They probably would think that since no one seems to know that labels aren’t meant for people, they’re meant for soup cans.

I walked into English class, and when I sat down, some girls started giggling and whispering to each other while looking at me. I shot then a short glare and pulled out my book to get lost into that world rather than my own.

About three minutes later, class still hadn’t started and Savannah stop beside me and poked my shoulder. I finished the sentence I was reading and looked up at her with a questioning expression. She glanced at the annoying, giggling girls quickly before saying in a hushed tone, “It was on purpose.” I looked at her like she was crazy before it all fell together. The girls were laughing at me because of yesterday. The incident yesterday… It was on purpose?!

“Whoa, WHAT?!” I exclaimed, wanting, no, needing to talk now. I was shocked and kind of hurt that someone would want to do that to somebody. Savannah opened her mouth to say something, but the bell interrupted her before she got the chance. She looked at my sympathetically. “I’ll talk to you after class,” she said before walking over to her seat.

Who would do this to a girl and why…

Savannah dragged me in to the bathroom to talk to me in private. Once we got inside and checked to make sure we were alone and looked at her and raised my eyebrows, needing to know what was going on.

“I was at my locker and I heard these boys behind me talking about… you know what… and so I was about to ignore them, not wanting to hear what they would say until something caught my attention. One of them said something about great their planned worked and how they should do more things like that to you. I pretended to be getting my stuff and such as I eavesdropped on them. They kept saying mean things like that it was really funny, you looked horrible, it seemed like you were about to cry.. yeah. I was going to say something, but I didn’t want that to mess something else, like they would threaten me or you or something. Anyway… It was done on purpose. But sadly, I don’t know why they chose you to pick on. I’m just going to say to keep your eyes open and have friend with you at all times, because I’m thinking that they will try to do something like that again.” I stared at her, shocked. I was going to be embarrassed again? And on purpose?

I nodded and thanked her, catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror and saw that I looked upset, surprised, and pale. I walked out of the bathroom only to slam into another body.

“OLVIA!!!!” said the person I bumped into. I looked up and saw it was Eliza.

“Oh, hey Eliza..”

“Olivia, you’ll never believe this but the whole chemistry thing yesterday? IT WAS ON PURPOSE!”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah, I heard,” I told her. She looked at me with a puzzled expression for a second before she said, “Ooooh. Savannah told you, didn’t she? Yeah, she told me too. That when I realized something. As I was leaving the room to go wash my hands yesterday, I thought I saw a boy go and switch out one of the chemicals. I just shrugged it off, thinking that I was seeing things and didn’t bother to tell you because I didn’t want you to overreact. I’m sorry, I should have told you anyway. But we do need to watch our backs now, especially yours.”
