OH NO I'M NOT READY.

"NO ONE GET IT!" I shrieked, probably louder than needed.

Ding dong

GO AWAY FOUL YET HANDSOME BEAST.

Knock knock knock

"Olivia, please let me in," came a voice through the door that was not Jackson.

That's when I noticed Kat looking terrified. It was Thomas.

I went over to the door and unlocked it. I glanced back at Kat as she went to hide and opened the door for my brother.

"Sorry, I forgot my key," Thomas said as he walked past me, not making eye contact. He stopped right before he went up to his room and said "Oh yeah, date right?"

I nodded and he turned back around. Yeah, something is wrong with him. I'll probably ask him when I get back tonight. The girls might yell at me if I try to now, and I don't want them to hear in case it's personal.

Dalice and Eliza decided to leave my hair straight and just braid my bangs. I honestly thought it was simple but really pretty. I didn't want to be overdressed, anyway. Savannah picked out a really pretty dress that was a maroon-ish color, and was kind of lacey. I loved it!

The idea of wearing my purple converse had been thrown out the window like a sack of worms in front of these girls.

"But c'mooon! The Chucks are the reason I'm going on a date with him in the first place!" I whined, determined to wear something comfortable.

"Do you want to look trashy?" Savannah raised an eyebrow at me.

"Hey, converse are a good quality shoe! They're cute, too."

Savannah and I stared hard at each other before a while before giving me a stern and final 'no'.

"BUT! I think these adorable black flats would look cute!" Kat butted in, becoming a savior. I am NOT wearing heels before practicing in them. I gave her a silent 'thank you' and she smiled in return.

Savannah thought about it, then gave a grin and agreed. The girls sprayed a touch of perfume on me before we sat down, and waited. I could not sit down for more than 7 seconds. I kept looking in the mirror, checking the time, making sure I didn't smell terrible, and just casually freaking out. I'd like to say that I have been on dates before, even terrible, horrible ones, but that'd just be a lie. This whole thing was entirely new to me. I suck at making conversations, I make a mess when I eat, I play with my hair when nervous, and I don't want to have an anxiety attack, either.

Thomas was still locked in his room, doing who knows what. I really hoped he was okay. I'm not entirely sure why he wouldn't, but I guess that's for him to stress over and me to dig deep about. Eventually, though, he did come down.

"Hey," he started. "Have fun tonight, okay? Don't do anything stupid and be careful." His voice was soft, and his cheeks a little red. Was he sick? Embarressed? About what though? I decided I would definetly question him later but for now, I wanted to just calm down and enjoy my time with Jackson.

I smiled up at him and gave Tom a hug. "Thanks Tom, I'll be fine." He patted by back, turned around, smiled to my friends, and left. A few moments later, I heard a car door slam. Let's not panic. Footsteps. I said no panicking! Then the doorbell rang. I'm screaming on the inside.

The girls all gave me a hug, wished me good luck, complimented me, and pushed me to the door. Should I open it?

Of course you should open it, you fool! Screamed the person that talks to me inside my head in a totally non-insane way. I named her Katie.

I threw a glance back at Eliza, and she montioned for me to open it. I hope I haven't been waiting here too long. I took a deep breath and opened the door.

I'm practically dying a slow, painful death by now. The handsome stranger holding a rose smiled at me. He looked nice, wearing khakis and a plaid shirt. Why is this random man giving me a flower?

Oh that's right.

"H-hi, Jackson." damn you high pitched voice and stutter!

"Hello gorgeous," Mr. Tall and freaking handsome smiled at me, adorable dimples popping out. I blushed, despite my efforts to supress it.

"May I?" He held out his arm in a manner where I slip my arm through his. And I did.

Jackson led me to his car, which was a really nice one. I know nothing about car's and their types, but this looked new and expensive. Red. It looked good. He opened the passenger door for me and I got in, throwing a glance to the window I'm sure my friends were spying out of. Maybe this night wouldn't be as awkward as I anticipated.

The ride was silent, except for the soft sound of music playing. It was turned down kind of low, which I liked, and the warmth from the vents made me feel cozy. We were saving our conversations to when we needed them most. That's what I assumed, at least.

"So," I turned to him, "where are we going?" Not all conversations had to be conserved.

"Well, I was thinking dinner and roller skating. Does that sound good?" Rollerskating? Ooooh no I am going to embarrass myself SO badly. But then again, that sounded fun. Aslong as I don't break my arse or vomit.

"Sure, why not." I nodded, liking the idea.

"Wait.. he was drunk?!" I laughed, trying to not be too loud and not fall out of my seat. We were on our entree at some fancy, but not too fancy resturant. The waiters were nice and funny, I liked it here.

"Yes! What kind of wasted, 50 year old man walks into a shoe shop? He came in, threw a couple of the displays, found one of those socks in the boxes, and actually tried to get it one his head."

"Why would he do that? I feel so bad for you but I also wish I was there!"

"He came up to me, with the sock partly on him, handed me one and said 'are we going to rob this place or not?' It was so hard to not laugh!" Jackson was telling me a story about some man walking into the store he works at. It was one of the best things I've ever heard.

"Please tell me that's it, or else I'm going to choke from laughing." Why am I just now meeting this boy? I glanced down at my shrimp, not realizing how much time had gone by.

Jackson smile at me, the dimples that could make any girl's heart melt appearing. "Did you want dessert or not bother since we're going to roller skate?"

"Whatever is fine with you," I replied, me still being a people-pleaser.

The music was louder this time. Probably because we both were more comfortable with each other. I was not comfortable enough to sing along, of course. I was dreading the roller skating, but also dying for us to already be there. I really hope my dress doesn't fly up though. Oh, it better not fly up.

HAYYY! Okay, I was planning to make this a longer chapter, but I decided against that so then you guys would get this chapter sooner and get to read it while I wrote the next one. So, again, I am extremely sorry I disappeared for so long with no warning. I get distracted easily, and also been busy with school, video games, and other stuff. I am truly sorry. So how was y'all's Christmas and Hanukkah? What did you get? Please like this chapter and tell me what you thought! Thanks, and have a wonderful New Year's Eve and Day!
