I was roused from my sleep as the car came to a halt, I watched as my mate got out and went to the driver's seat. I did the same and looked at the gamma expectantly. She rolled her eyes but did as understood.

I hadn't spoken to this man more than necessary, I wouldn't start in the company of others either.

He pulled me from battle like I needed saving.

I will never come back from that.

Yet, I couldn't stand the distance between us for long. Everything in me wanted my skin to be on his.

Like when the car ride started, I slept on him on purpose. I absorbed his warmth and relished in the way he played with my hair.

I could remember the shock he had on his face when I brought my bags to the car. The rest of the pack either mirrored his expression or took pleasure in the comedic relief.

I had heard and read many stories about Luna's being difficult. I suppose I was falling into that.

"Tell me what Estare Faura is like," I started.

"It's home." nothing came after that. Still bitter I see.

"What is home for you?"

"Estare Faura."

I sighed very loudly. "Had I known i would be the bored I would have packed a travelling bag."

I thicken whatever tension he wanted to maintain.

"Dorian, what are the training fields like?"

He grinned, "well. We have a centre and a field. The centre is combat heaven..."

I could just imagine it, a large hall fill with all kinds of equipment. The Scent of blood mixing in the air and sweat coating the floor. As he continued to tell me about Estate Fauna I shut my eyes and imagined it all. Such beauty.

Just from my imagination it was-

"It sounds so amazing," I sighed. "I'd might as well sleep there."

"Katinka, thank you." I turned my head and opened my eyes to look at him. A raised an eyebrow in question.

"We've never met an Alpha that worked to give our fallen dignity. For the longest time I thought you were mad until last night, how everything fell together. You're amazing." he said with a smile.

I could tell my expression softened, I did what I hoped would be done for me. I wanted dignity, a memorial with at least my name carved in thanks of what I had done.

Some acknowledgement.

The Gamma seemed to agree, her sour expression had gone as soft as mine. "It was my duty to my fellow compatriots. They fell so that we could stand."

"So this is Tinka Rosa, you're softer than I thought." the gamma spoke.

"I had my ass handed to me for not training for Months," I laughed. It hurt as I did.

"Of course I'm soft." I whisper.

We seemed to get along just fine, they were honest and genuine. They weren't as stubborn as myself, like my mate.

Neither of us was giving in to whatever we were building tension over.

Hours passed into the evening until we reached the pack lands and inevitably the house. "Dorian, Ella... Could we discard my former rank? I want to start on a clean slate."

They seemed to respect that. It was odd, to see them give into that which I had asked I figured thag this what the moons influence. I smiled, grateful.

We left the car and began off loading our things. While we did such we met the pack in a flurry of welcomes and skepticism. I knew this wasn't the entire pack but the welcoming party was warm.

Estate Fauna felt very homely.

"Where is our room?" I finally chose to acknowledge my chosen.

"Your room is on the third floor, close to mine."

'Your' and 'mine', those words were exclusive of each other. Even so, it felt like those words left him so easily. As if that's the way it was supposed to be.

I looked at Alpha Haydn, he was serious? "Have my things moved to your room, you must be mad if you think I left my pack early only to sleep next door to you."

Feeling silence spring I knew everyone was listening in on us, no one spoke to the Alpha the way I spoke to him.

Then again, they weren't his Luna.

I watched him swallow and my eyes flashed making him know that this wasn't only for me, it was for the beasts inside us. He turned his head and looked at a juvenile next to us and nodded his head up stairs.

He was following, he knew what was good for him. His lips spread in a smile unfamiliar to me, "I smell meat. Lots and lots of meat." the mood lightened and everyone moved to what I assumed was the dining area.

It was large and the scent of food hugged me tight. I stood at the door and watched everyone take their seats. I observed, watching Haydn sit at the head of the highest table in the center I knew the Alpha Female will sit from across.

Custom diacated that I be placed at her right.

I am second to her, it will also help me get close with her. To determine if she was an enemy or not.

I pushed forward and sat at my desired place, I could feel the eyes.

I had arrived and I would travel the road less travelled. I will provoke the Alpha Couple
