Back at the lodge, Josh was blissfully unaware of what was happening with the others. He sat in the warm bath, listening to music with a pair of earbuds. Unbeknownst to him, the masked psycho stood just a few feet away, watching him for a minute or two before picking up his clothes and leaving the room, slamming the door behind him. This caused a candle to go out, getting Josh's attention.
"Uh... you guys?" He asked, taking his earbuds out. "What are you weirdos doing out there? Being creepy I bet..."
Josh stood up slowly and wrapped a towel around his waist. He went to put his clothes back on, only to see that they were missing.
"Oh for fucks sake... my clothes?! Really?! Whichever one of you did this isn't invited back next year! Not cool guys, not cool at all." He grumbled as he opened the bathroom door.
"Ashley? Sammy?" He called as he stepped outside and began walking downstairs. The grandfather clock in the hallway chimed, causing him to jump. "Goddamn clock..."
"Ash? Jess? Matt? This is starting to get old, you guys." He said as he began to walk down the stairs. "It's all very funny, hahaha look at Josh walking around in a towel, but now I just want this to be over, okay? Are you done playing games?"
Once he reached the bottom of the stairs, he started to get annoyed. "Can I have my clothes back now, or am I just supposed to be the eye-candy for the rest of the weekend? Look, if you were trying to freak me out, guess what?! You've succeeded!"
Upon approaching the cinema room, he noticed that the doors were open. He grabbed the flashlight sitting on the table nearby and made his way in, unaware of the second presence just a few feet away once again.
"Hey... you guys, come on! I'm done with this! I'm not enjoying the silent treatment here!"
All of a sudden, the doors slammed shut, causing Josh to jump.
"Hello, Joshua. Looking for me? I don't think you'll have much luck by looking, Joshua."
Josh held the flashlight up and aimed it around the room, frantically searching for the source of the voice as the screen on the wall flickered on.
"You're only going to see what I want you to see... and I have quite a lot to show you. Open your eyes!"
"What the fuck?!" Josh yelled as footage of him in the bath earlier played onscreen.
"He's quite handsome, isn't he? A sweet little bathing bird. Do you think he has any idea what lies ahead? Do you think these were the last peaceful moments of this creature's life?"
"Why are you showing this to me?!" Josh asked.
"Why are you watching?"
"SAM!" Josh cried as footage of her bloody death flashed across the screen.
"How does it make you feel?"
"WHAT THE FUCK?! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" He demanded.
"I'm going to give you ten seconds. Nine..."
"No, no no no-"
"Eight... seven..."
"PLEASE NO!"
The psycho burst through the cinema room door, gas mask in hand.
"Josh... Josh?"
Without a second thought, Josh took off running through the guest room and towards the basement. He kept going through the cellar until he came upon a handleless door.
"Are you SERIOUS?! NO HANDLE?!" He yelled as the psycho came closer.
In a desperate attempt to slow the psycho down, Josh pulled one of the wine holders down to the floor, only to find the missing door handle. He quickly shoved it into place, went through, and locked the door behind him. Soon enough, he ended up in a much older section of the lodge. He tried to keep running down the hallway, but the psycho was one step ahead. He popped up out of seemingly thin air and held the gas mask to Josh's face, knocking him out.
