WARNING! things get a lil heated ;)

There isn't much to do where you live. Besides dragging yourself to school, you mostly spent your days roaming the neighbourhood. You often just walked past markets and stores and such, but took a special liking to a little sandwich shop on a street corner, finding it's homeliness comforting.
You pushed the door of the Delmar Deli-Grocery open, a bell signaling your entrance. Delmar looked up at the door, a smile forming once he saw your familiar face. "How's my second favorite customer?"
You let out a laugh from the other side of the counter. "Second favorite?" You asked while setting your backpack on a table. Right as Delmar was going to answer, the chiming door drew the attention away from the conversation.
"The usual Delmar, but throw on some more pickles. I'm feeling extra rebellious toda-" And in walked an adorably dorky boy, stopping in his tracks when he saw the beautiful girl in the sandwich shop. You two couldn't help but stare at each other in wonder. It was unexplainable, the feeling that surged through your veins when you caught his gaze.
"Hey!" Delmar shouted. Their heads snapped toward him, startled. "None of this," He waved his finger in between the two of them. "This, 'flirting' you teenagers call it. Okay?" He said with a cocked brow. "I will not accept this."
The cook slid the boys wrapped sandwich onto the counter, but Delmar placed his hand on it. "You will not be allowed in here if you do that again, got it?"
"Ok, Del. I think he gets it." You bit your lip to stifle a laugh, glancing at the boy who was too hiding a smile. "Just give the guy his food."
"Ten dollars."
You laughed. "It's five dollars."
"For looking at you like that, ten." A light blush set on Peter's face, he tried his hardest to hide it.
"Looking at me like what?" You joked.
"Like he wanted to take all of your clothes off." Delmar stated. "Ten dollars Peter."
"Jesus." You rubbed your forehead, feeling for him. Delmar didn't have a filter. You then stepped beside the boy and handed Delmar a five dollar bill with a smile. "Give him his food." He glared at Peter, but gave in.
The both of you walked away from the counter and over to the table where your backpack sat. "Thanks for that." Peter said awkwardly. He started to take his wallet out. "Here," You shook your head before he had the chance to give you his money.
"It wasn't mine," You revealed. "He left it on the counter."
Peter chuckled at your bluntness, shoving his wallet back into his pocket. "You're pretty ballsy, aren't you?"
You nonchalantly leaned against the chair, a smile playing on your lips. "I can be."
"y/n!"
You turned your head toward the voice. "Can you go to the back and get some pickle jars? Peter got the last of them."
An annoyed sigh escaped from your lips.
