Now that Bucky and Cap were officially a couple, they would have to lay low until Cap can tell the Avengers the truth about the two of them. Bucky was okay about them being able to keep it a secret for now because he wasn't ready for their relationship to be seen by the public eye. He felt comfortable with Cap and knew that he would handle it all as the media will find out, but he was worried about what people would say about him. Would they know that he was the Winter Soldier? The one who caused all that trouble and mayhem earlier that year? He doubted it because most of the time he wore a mask and no one could see his face. The only one who ever did see his face during the fights was Cap. As far as he knew, the public didn't really know him. And he hoped that they would never find out who he really was. He was praying it would stay that way.

Bucky began to pick up the rest of their breakfast remains as Steve made the calls to everyone. Bucky was really nervous about meeting everyone. The only one he kind of knew was Natasha because she had fought against him for a little bit. Would she accept him and Steve as a couple or would she be totally against it? Those kind of thoughts began to plague his mind and make him worry just a little bit. All he was looking for was acceptance and the opportunity to meet/make some new friends, especially since they were Steve's. He needed to make a damn good impression on them for them to like him. He was pretty sure that the rest may know that he was the Winter Soldier. As far as Cap was telling them on the phone, he just wanted them to come over for dinner because he had some very important news for them. For now, Bucky's name was not being thrown into the mix. He liked it that way.

"Well," Bucky walked into Steve's room after the last phone call. "How did it go?" Bucky had never been in this room before. Well, he had only been here for two days now, but he liked it. The walls were a dark red, the bed was full and white, and the left wall was cluttered with bookshelves. It was a simple room for someone with a simple mind. That's exactly the type of man that Steve is, and Bucky loved the simplicity of him.

"It went pretty well," Steve pulled him onto the bed and cuddled with him. He began to comb his fingers through Buck's long brown hair as he talked. "Romanoff, Thor, Sam, and Clint are coming. Bruce, Fury, and Tony will not be able to make it. They all have plans this weekend."

Bucky looked at him. "This weekend? I thought we were going to do it all next weekend."

"Don't be upset Bucky. This was the only weekend I could get four of them here! Everyone else had plans for the next several months. I hope its not going to be a problem for you."

"No, it's not, I promise." Buck replied. "I was just surprised by the fact that we are going to do it this weekend now. I thought I was going to have just a little bit more time to figure out how to win them all over."

"I understand where you're coming from. Trust me, I have this all under control now." Cap kissed the top of his head. "Now, we just need to get you some clothes, a new haircut, and figure out what we are going to cook for all of them this weekend. If you want to win them over, just be your normal and cute self. They will love you for who you are."

Bucky froze at the mention of a haircut. He didn't really want one. He kind of liked his hair long. "Do I really need to get a hair cut though? I like my hair long a little bit." He rolled around to face Steve. "I don't mind getting the new clothes though. I can't keep wearing yours forever. Or could I?" He winked at Cap.

"As good as you look in my clothes, no. I need those man." Cap avoided the hair part becaus he knew that it might upset Bucky just a little bit.

"Okay. But seriously, do I  need to cut my hair?" Bucky asked.

"Please? It doesn't have to be too short." Cap kissed him gently, trying to win over his affection.

"Fine." Bucky agreed. He did admit he kind of wanted a hair cut because his hair fell way past his shoulders. All this change was really nice for him.

"Alright, let me go shower, and we can go do the shopping in about an hour." Cap got up and went off to the bathroom.

Bucky laid there on his bed the whole time. He was just so damn happy. He was finally dating the man of his dreams, and nothing could stop that, For a second, he began to wonder what his family would think of him now. The memories panged at him a little as he realized that they were all no longer alive. He missed them now, but knew that they were all in a better place. He didn't have anyone except for Steve now. He will really have to win over everyone else at their dinner party this Saturday. If they all loved Steve, and saw that Steve loved him, then why wouldn't they accept him for who he is now? He was no longer a villain and they would all be able to see that. Villain or no villain, he still feared whether or not he would be welcomed by them.

An hour later, Cap finished getting ready and him and Bucky hit the town together. They hit up all the shops along the way and got Bucky the best clothes ever. Bucky's new style would be very hipster and fancy. Steve wanted Bucky to have nothing but the best. Steve bought him about four pairs of converse and at least three pairs of dress shoes. He was spoiling the hell out of Bucky, and he knew that. He didn't care. After they finished shopping at one of the local bookstores, they tracked down a hair parlor and were able to get Bucky in there.

"Are you ready for this?" Cap asked.

Bucky was a little nervous. "I'm nervous, but I am sure as hell ready to get this over with."

"Now that's the spirit!" Cap patted him on the back as he walked to the chair. The woman kindly greeted him and began to give him the hair cut he wanted. Bucky watched as the locks of his hair fell to the floor, and with that hair, his past fell away and a new, brighter future shone upon him. He got his hair cut short like Steve's but wanted the bangs, He did not want to gel his hair up like his boyfriend's. He wanted to be able to swoop his bangs to the right,

"You look really good Buck!" Cap approved as they walked out the hair parlor. "I must say that I really like it!"

"Thanks," Bucky said. "I really like it too, It fits the new me."

Cap couldn't stop smiling at him. "It really does." After that, they went eat out at some fancy restaurant that Bucky could not remember the name of. They had a good time together and successfully hided the fact that they were now a couple. They looked like a pair of really good friends to the public and that was amazing. Along the way, a few kids asked for Cap's autograph and he smiled and gave it to them. Bucky could see that Steve had never changed. He was the same cute, sweet, smart, and sensitive guy he was back in the day. He still put everyone else before him. Bucky had always loved that about it. He could never find a better man than this, and he knew that.

As they filled Bucky's room with all his new things, Bucky just fell for Steve even more as he saw how much Steve had cared for him all day. He walked up to Steve and kissed him as they finished. "Thank you for everything you did today. I really do appreciate it Steve. I have said this before, but I mean it, I really do not know where I would be without you. I am just so glad to be able to call you mine." He kissed him again.

Steve wrapped his arms around Bucky, "You are most welcome, my buddy. Or, I should now say, baby. I never did dream of this day coming but here we are now. The two of us are finally together, and it's finally more than friends. I am so glad to have you here because seeing you come back, I was feeling lost without you. After all that Hydra bullshit went down, and we went our separate ways, I thought I would never see you again. I am grateful to have you back." He kissed him and smiled. "So, thank you."
