*TOTALLY FORGOT I HAD THIS AS AN INTRO QUOTE. THIS WAS OVER THREE YEARS BEFORE THE SHOW WAS EVEN A THING! THIS STORY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE NOVEL OR THE SHOW (WHICH I AM NOT A FAN OF)*

"You don't know what goes on in anyone's life but your own. And when you mess with one part of a person's life, you're not messing with just that part. Unfortunately, you can't be that precise and selective. When you mess with one part of a person's life, you're messing with their entire life. Everything. . . affects everything."

― Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why

*just as a precursor because it tends to bother a lot of people - I use "&" rather than "and". I know to most it is unprofessional but I am a 23 year old college graduate, who is going for a Master's degree currently, so I understand the difference between the two. Using "&" was a way for me to separate my college/research/academic writing from my fiction/fun writing. I am 23 years old, please do not tell me to use "and" over "&". It's a personal style choice such as authors who never use capital letters. If that bothers you, you don't have to read, but I don't need to be told another time that I use the wrong version, I am well aware. It is my fiction writing style.*
