"She let another man touch her" he whispered against my skin, his lips a breath away from touching me.

I could hear his words but my brain wasn't registering it.

My skin tingled where his warm breath hit it, a sharp contrast to the cold night's air that surrounded up. That's all I could feel, that's all I could understand. As hard as I tried, I couldn't process his words in my head. His proximity was making me dizzy. What was he doing to me?

I shook my head to get rid of the dizziness. With the free hand that wasn't in his grasp, I shoved him hard, trying to maintain a respectable distance. Is he drunk? He is so going to regret it tomorrow. As far as I know, Dan wasn't the kind of man who would cross the line in relationships. Hell I of all the people would know, wouldn't I? I did once serve myself to him on a gold platter after all.

"I d...don't understand" I managed to breath out as I tried to unsuccessfully push him away "Please move"

"What don't you understand?" he asked, his voice like a husky lullaby putting me in a trance, clouding my senses. He pulled up my hand that he was holding and held it against my wildly beating heart, squeezed between the little distances bodies created.

"This?" he asked again.

"Wh...at are you doing. You aren't in your senses Dan" I gathered up my courage "We can discuss your situation at the mansion too. I understand things aren't going well with your mate. We can talk about it"

I came to the conclusion that even though he was talking to me, I wasn't the one he was addressing. The best approach in this situation would be to not panic and go with him until help comes. There's no way I can fight an alpha.

But he promised he would protect me and my baby. He promised.

"Answer me" he said firmly, once again ignoring my words "Do you not understand this?" he pressed my hand harder on my heart to drag my attention to it.

"I wouldn't know if you don't tell me" I said softly.

He finally moved at my words. His head rose from where it was hovering over my neck. I was taken aback as his eyes met mine. They were the same beautiful forest that I have known all my life. There was a determination in his gaze. It wasn't his wolf forcing him to do this. No. He was in full control of his actions. Daniel knew what he was doing. But why?

"This heart of yours" he drawled "When was the last time it went this crazy?" he asked. He was looking at me intently. There wasn't any hint of humor in his words. He meant what he said.

I frowned at his question. I looked down at my own hand on my chest. Why was my heart thumping so wild? Why was my body defying me?

This is familiar; the beating of my heart, the tingling of my skin, the knot in my stomach and the quiver in my knees. My eyes widened. No. this isn't what I think it is. I couldn't possibly be this vile.

I felt hot tears sidling down my face. Disgust crept up my skin as I realized our position.

"Let me go" I started struggling violently against his hold.

"Calm down" he whispered patiently.

"No" I raised my voice as I continued squirming "Please stop this. I know you aren't in your senses but this isn't right Dan"

"Shhh....It's okay" He let my hand go only to hold me by my shoulder "Look at me"

"Let me go" I whimpered.
