"H-hi. H-how can I help you?" She stuttered. She never stuttered before. "Oh uh I'm um looking for a book." Gabriela smiled, at least she wasn't the only nervous one. Jacob rubbed the back of his neck. He was taken aback by this beautiful angel in front of him. He was not expecting this young woman when he stepped into the library, more like an old woman with thick glasses falling off her nose that scowled at every sound being made. But Gabriela was beautiful, even with the big glasses and bun. She smiled and it caused his heart to miss a beat. Her hazel eyes drew him in and made him lose his breath for a moment. She asked him a question but his mind was unable to focus. He saw something in her eyes. Their future. She giggled and the sound made his heart miss another beat. Oh God what was this angel doing to him. Soon he would have heart damage with her being the cause.

She snapped her fingers in front of his face and he snapped out of his trance. "Sorry. I kind of zoned out on you there. What were you saying?" Jacob asked her. She smiled again. "I asked for your name and surname." She replied fingers at the ready. He smirked even though he was taken a back at her not knowing who he was. It was very rare that someone didn't know his name. He was well known for many reasons the biggest was his gang, followed by his charm with the ladies. He liked the fact that she didn't know who he was. For some reason he didn't want her to know his bad ways. "I'm sorry I just can't give you that information. You haven't even asked me on a date yet and I don't just give my details to strangers." He teased her, he expected her to blush and go silent but she had other plans. "Well here is a muffin, how about we have an early lunch date right here in the library?" He smirked again and looked at the muffin she offered him. "Only if you make me some coffee." "Of course. How do you take it?" His reply came quick. "Two sugars, one and a half coffee a little bit of milk." As she made his coffee she grinned. He drank it the same way she drank hers. She gave him his cup and sat hers down on the table too. She took a seat and he dragged a chair from one of the tables over to hers. He moved the chair a little closer to hers, not believing his luck of a date with such a beautiful innocent girl.

He sat down, took a bite of the muffin and groaned. It was delicious. "Do you like it?" Gabriela wanted his approval. She did not know why but she wanted him to like it. "Like it? No." He paused. "I love it. Did you make these?" He pointed to the box of homemade muffins next to the kettle on the coffee table behind her. "Yes." She was shy. She had no idea what made her act this way around him. "Well they're great stranger." He smiled at her and her heart stopped all together. The butterflies in her stomach returned. "It's Gabriela." She smiled at him. "Do you name the muffins? It's a strange name for a muffin." He teased her again. This time she laughed, hard. "No, Silly. My name, it's Gabriela." "Gabriela." He repeated her name, she shivered it rolled off his tongue like he has said it a thousand times. "I like it. And my name is Jacob, Jacob Grayson. What is your last name Gabriela?" Now it was her turn to tease him. "Sorry Grayson but it takes a lot more than just coffee for me to spill that state secret." He smiled at her, he liked her and that is when he decided he would do anything to get this girl.

After they finished their lunch date, Gabriela threw the muffin wrappers away and moved back into the space behind her computer. "Jacob. Grayson. So what was the name of that book you wanted?" Gabriela asked him while pushing up her glasses at the side. "Will you go on a second date with me?" She smiled. She knew for a fact that a book with that title did not exist. Maybe that is why she teased him with confidence. "Sorry I don't know that book. Whom may the writer be?" Her eyes sparkled with mischief and he was trapped within them. "Um it's not a book. I'm asking you whether you would go on a second date with me. Because I really like spending time with you and I would like to take you out to dinner." He spoke very fast. She was taken aback. She didn't know how to reply to this Greek god. He actually liked her. It came as a surprise to know that someone looking like him could like spending time with a plain girl like her. "Uh I um I uh would l-love to um have dinner with you." She cursed herself internally for stuttering and squeaking like a high school girl. "Great. I'll pick you up when you lock up." He turned around his sexy smirk on his face as he confidently walked out of the small town library. One thought kept turning in her mind. What was the name of the book he wanted in the first place?

Shouldn't the thought be whether he even wanted a book in the first place.
